Intex Sand Filter Pump. Backwash/Rinse/Waste Question

Thank you, I'll leave the system open during these processes, I get for the rinse and waste you need to get rid of the water, but in the videos I have seen it doesn't seem like they are dealing with the pool draining during the backwash phase. Thanks for clarifying the issue.

Intex Sand Filter Pump. Backwash/Rinse/Waste Question

Hello so I have a new intex 2650 sand filter up and filtering, but I am still not sure on the Backwash and Rinse Procedure. I am very confused as to do with the waste cap and in/out knobs to the pool, do I leave them open because when I open the waste plug the pool basically drains or do I...

New Intex Sand Filter install/Opening Pool

Ok thanks, I was worried maybe you needed clean water to settle the sand to help the filtration. That takes a big weight off my shoulders. Thanks. My thinking here is to get water in the system, then vacuum all the mud to waste, start up the filter and add proper chems.

New Intex Sand Filter install/Opening Pool

I have an Intex Ultra Frame 22ft AGP, I purchased an Intex sand filter system for this year. Pool is green and dirty from the winter, I have been working to get leaves and debris out, but my concern is how do I prime the new Sand Filter, first time start up procedure with dirty green water? I...

    Pool Vacuum and Pump Problem

Update, I think I have got the Ranger working. It seems to take a pretty consistent pattern around the pool though not sure if it's going to give me the clean pool I am looking for, but my intex pump gets a little bit of air in the system and I want to know if this is normal?

I haven't had time to put it back in, I am trying to get the pool to a point where I can vacuum it. I am cleaning up an algae bloom that has been stubborn and work has been busy.

    Pool Vacuum and Pump Problem

Thanks for the reply guys. I'll have to give all these methods a shot. I thought I was getting all the air out by putting each tube into the water vertically then connecting it. As for the garbage bag solution, if I am not hearing air or a hiss, would I still assume air is entering through...

    Pool Vacuum and Pump Problem

Here is the intex skimmer cap, attached to the Ranger Pool Vacuum skimmer attachment, to the flowmeter thing, attached to hose attachment. I used this setup today, I don't think the skimmer attachment will stay in the skimmer cap, only when suction is on. The problem I am having is that after...

    Pool Vacuum and Pump Problem

I have an Intex Ultra Frame 22ft AGP, I bought an automatic pool vacuum, the Zodiac Barracuda Ranger to be exact. This is my first year owning a pool so I'm learning the hard way about pool maintenance and equipment. Has anyone used this pool cleaner with this pool? I am getting air running...

    Intex Saltwater Buildup Problem

That's what I am thinking as well, is there any suggestion as to how to do this? Right now I am thinking about adding Muriatic Acid, but is it safe for a above ground pool? These are things I don't know. I read this should lower TA and PH, not sure about CH. Thanks

    Intex Saltwater Buildup Problem

Yes this is the 3rd time I have used distilled vinegar to clean this unit in a month. Salt tested last time was 3100 (two weeks ago), but when I clean the unit it runs for a couple days before buildup occurs again.

    Intex Saltwater Buildup Problem

Hello so I'm new to a pool this summer, with a 22ft intex 10,000 gallon above ground pool. I have had a few problems but it all seems to keep coming back to the white build up on the intex salt system plates. They are getting Calcium Buildup/Scale/Whatever else, this is causing a low salt...
