    Plaster Patch/Repair Question

Hello, I need some advice. I am putting my house up for sale and I drained the pool to clean it and replace a bad filter and pump. I would like to do a minimal/basic repair on the bad plaster areas, without having to spend thousands to do a complete plaster resurface. Is there a product I...

    Water Level Drops

Sorry I don't completely understand... can you explain a little further what "spa mode" is regarding the proper valve settings? Under normal daily operation I leave the skimmer valve on full and the pool main drain open some (sometimes I will open it fully such as brushing etc). I almost always...

    Water Level Drops

Don't want to sound stupid but I'm not sure I understand about the pavers and the gravel. I visualize filling the cut area around the pipes with gravel and then laying pavers on top. I am trying to figure out how to raise the pipes and valves and then connect to the pump

When you say add unions do you mean at each end of the valves (PVC-UNION-VALVE-UNION-PVC)? The current manifold has 4 valves; Spa Drain, Main Drain, Skimmer & Vacuum. Am I correct that I should add a separate Pentair Valve for each to maintain the individual control? I am definitely removing...

    Water Level Drops

I was thinking of using these, http://www.poolsupplyworld.com/Pentair-263029-Two-Port-Diverter-Valve-with-2in-PVC-Pipe/263029.htm?cmpid=fbt_78742 1 each for the old valves and then 1 for the main return valve. Is this a good choice? Any other suggestions?

The tech from Aqua-Cal came over and was IMHO very sincere and honest. He told me that he could repair the unit but he recommended not doing it. The unit is 13 years old and was plumbed with copper and he said the copper starts thinning out and weakening at the 11 year mark. Based on the age and...

    Water Level Drops

Haven't had a chance until today to check up further on this, plus its been raining like crazy every day but I finally checked this morning. I dug on the side of the pad and can see that it is a 4" extension pad. I was able to dig under the pad and actually touch the first PVC pipe so this isn't...

Has anyone tried a No-Niche skimmer?

Wow I like that... Had the same issue after my lawn was mowed... pool was always a mess. Now I'm having a daily mess from palm tree flowers. Is that installed in your vacuum port?

The pad is 4 ft x 8 1/2 ft but I have no idea how deep. I will try a few things tomorrow to see if I can determine that. Here are some pics and a mechanical drawing, that is not exact regarding orientation but mechanically correct, except I left out the chlorinator.

Were definitely on the same page... I am handy for sure and not "afraid" of this but I truly dread how big a job this will turn out to be. I am trying to think this through very carefully before I jump... and if I go that route I will probably wind up replacing a bunch of items so it's not just...

    Another Green Pool Battle

I do :p so I added a little chlorine as per the Pool Math because it's going to rain again in a little while. I will try and test in the AM but I have a very early & hectic day so it may have to wait until the evening. Then I will look at all the values again and adjust as required

    Another Green Pool Battle

Been doing a LOT of yard work and other projects around the house for the last 2 days so I haven't really been testing for 2 days PLUS its been raining like crazy here. To give you and idea of how much rain in the past 2 days I have had to drain off about 6 inches or more from the pool. I...
