Ok my Muratic acid spot remover tool took it right off. I guess I’ll be trying the zero alkalinty acid wash. The only question I have on that is what does FC need to be while doing it? I didn’t see anything on that. Thanks again!

Thank you both very much. Ive read up on the zero alkalinity acid wash. Im going to do a test with my spot remover and if that is successful I’ll attempt it. This stuff is all over the pool.

2 gallons of Muratic acid and about 25 lbs of Leslie’s power powder plus over 3 days. Water was the worst it’s been since I’ve been dealing with it. Staining however was there before anything was added. It was the first thing I saw.

I didn’t do testing when I first opened it but based on what I put in I’d say around 7.5-8.

It could be considered rough but doesnt feel any worse that the normal plaster. Definetely not algae. Readings as of this afternoon: FC - 10 CC - 0 PH - 7.0 (working on airating it up) Cya - 30 CH - 250 TA - 120

I ended up buying a new board. It was around $400. Installing it very simple so don't pay anyone to do it. Unplug a few cables and unbolt it. Then do the opposite. Took around 5 minutes to do.

Ammonia test came back 0. I checked it 3 times from three locations. Is it possible I'm still getting false readings from the jacks magic treatment? The treatment said you get false FC readings for up to a month so to use TC readings. I started the treatment at the end of April.

This morning I have a FC of 8 and a CC of 35. I'm going to go buy an ammonia test, but does anyone know if it causes your cc to rise like this when you shock? I've gone from a cc of 8 to 35 by shocking.

I'm doing a SLAM now. Just checked again after another hour and a half. FC dropped to 17 and CC raised to 25. Im at a loss as to why CC is climbing. Shouldn't it be dropping? I added more bleach to bring to shock level.

I use a Taylor 2006 test kit. I did some searching last night that high ph can cause cloudiness when other parameters are at certain levels. I'm hoping my cc levels drop soon. It's just been a pain getting ta and ph back in balance!

Just retested. Ph 7.4 and TA 70. My thoughts are raise TA to 100 and then I have room to drop it to lower the ph back down. Thoughts?
