    Glacier pool chiller

I think you are inline with the performance that you should be getting. If at bedtime my water is 92 and I run it all night it, it will be 85 the next morning. When the air temp gets to high 90's...I will run mine 24 hours a day and even in that heat it will still heat to 88 at the end of the...

I called them, I left them a voicemail and I had a guy call me back. Seems like it was all the same day.

New DIY Inground pool build - Arkansas (Picture Heavy) - Outdoor Kitchen Complete!!!

You are correct...plumbing, pump size, filter type will all have a bearing on the RPM you need to run. Mine ramps up to 2,500 from it's normal 1,750 that it runs during the daylight hours.

That is actually a fantastic idea. I like it. I was thinking of something that folded off of the walls, but I like the idea of this better.

New DIY Inground pool build - Arkansas (Picture Heavy) - Outdoor Kitchen Complete!!!

Thanks for the kind words. It was a lot of hard work, but worth it in every way. I live out in the country. My nearest neighbor is about a mile away. I live out of site of the main highway and have a good deal of privacy so using the shower if you wanted to strip all the way down would not...

New DIY Inground pool build - Arkansas (Picture Heavy) - Outdoor Kitchen Complete!!!

Well it's been awhile since I have updated this thread. I hesitate to use the word "finished" because I still have things I want to do, but as far as my initial goals when I started this project...the outdoor kitchen was the last thing on the punch list. I will say it was a challenge, because...

    Glacier Pool Chiller in FL?

This is 100% true. It's 100 here straight up noon and my pool is currently 86. My pool is in full sun from about 8AM till 7PM every day. It might make warm up another degree...but that's it. Without the chiller it would be 93 or 94 degrees. Salt pool and zero issues with chiller.

New DIY Inground pool build - Arkansas (Picture Heavy) - Outdoor Kitchen Complete!!!

Thanks...the heat hear has been brutal this week and I have been in the sun working every afternoon. Mine is plumbed like a closed system. I had plenty of return lines and they were all home runs to the pump pad. So I took one of those and cut it and fed the supply to the chiller and then the...

Hayward SP2300VSP Max-Flo VS pump stuck in prime mode.

I would go with a VS...it will pay for the difference in cost in 1 or 2 seasons depending on your runtime. Looks like the average retail price on the 1.65HP Maxflow is $1,200...so your installed price is not bad. Just my .02

This is spot on, I can't stress enough that you work out all the elevations to make sure water runs away from the pool in all directions as well as any existing structures. My first purchase after I ordered the pool kit was a good laser transit...I don't know how you would ever put in a pool...

Hayward - Smart Sync Adapter for LED Waterfalls - Light color out of sync.

Are the lights in your pool CMP as well? I don't think you can sync say a Hayward pool light with a CMP waterfall light even with the Smart Sync Adapter. I believe it's purpose is allow it to sync with other CMP lights and be controlled by equipment brands other than CMP. For the power cycle...

    Hayward Omni PL

Yes...the built in High voltage relays can be used to control your lights and UV sanitizer. It has the ability to add 2 more standard high voltage relays and 2 "smart relays"....so you can still use the ones you have, if they are part # HLH485RELAY, which I suspect they are. If that is the...

New DIY Inground pool build - Arkansas (Picture Heavy) - Outdoor Kitchen Complete!!!

It has been a bit since I posted an update. After the massive undertaking of building the pool and pool house in 2020...I found myself doing a lot of floating with a drink in my hand last summer. I felt like I had earned that right. So this year I picked back up and I am finishing the last...
