I opened March 16th in Missouri. My water is now staying above 60°, but we had rain, rain and more rain! 3-5 more inches expected over the weekend. Now I have visitors.

    Opening Early??

We always open early. It looks much better open and sparkling than half drained and covered. We opened March 15th and I mowed for the first time Wednesday (26th) There’s no turning back now!!

Let’s see your water after removing winter cover!! **RESURRECTED FOR 2025!**

We only cover with a leaf cover so we get a lot of dirt. Took leaf cover off last week water was clear, but dirt (and worms) on bottom. Then we had tornadoes and strong winds Friday night and got tons of leaves and more dirt. Luckily, tornado didn’t drop down in our valley and hit us. We just...

You are best to call them rather than do an online chat. I got more results from them by talking to the same person on the phone.

    Circupoool SJ55A problems

Today’s update: the unit worked for a while, then it didn’t. Same old problems as before except this time, nothing made it work. Finally got the jumper installation instructions from Circupool and installed that but it made no difference. Called and talked to someone at Circupool and he tried...

    Circupoool SJ55A problems

They aren’t paying for the shipping and they will charge me a prorated warranty amount, counting the unit as a year old. Since I’ve had issues with it from the git go, I’m trying to get them to take this unit back and exchange or upgrade for a reasonable price. That, they have not offered to me...

    Circupoool SJ55A problems

Went ahead and replace the flow switch and female adapter last Friday because we were going to be gone over the weekend. The unit was working when we switched these out, but didn’t want to risk it not working while we were gone. The unit did work after swapping the parts. It worked all week...

    Circupoool SJ55A problems

I’m posting this to possibly help others in the future. I purchased a new SJ55A last year and installed it last May. From day one, it didn’t seem to produce an abundance of chlorine, even running it at 100%. I opened a ticket with Circupool and got all the usual excuses. “Salt not high enough...

    Pool Temp and Opening

We opened last week. Water temp was 56°. We had some warm days and by Sunday, the water temp was 66°. We’ve had a lot of very warm days in Missouri all throughout the winter. Definitely time to open to avoid problems. I’d rather deal with pollen than algae!!

Let’s see your water after removing winter cover!! **RESURRECTED FOR 2025!**

I don’t “cover” my pool. We only put a leaf net over it this past winter. Water is clear as can be, but I do have to vacuum dirt out. At least I didn’t have to dig leaves out though! I could skim them right off the top on the leaf net!

    Leaking Circupool Cell

Ours did the same thing last year and we could not get it to stop. Our whole unit was on its last leg, so we replaced the whole thing. Sorry I have no advice. On another note, were you opening up your cell to clean it? It looks pretty corroded

    Liner replacement/pool Crete questions

There are a lot of YouTube videos you can watch. We had the serial number off our original liner and ordered our new one from the same company to assure the proper fit. We have a deep end, so there are lines where the floor transitions. We have seams along those lines. That was really the key...

    SJ55 polarity lights flashing

I came home today and found my SWG turned all the way up to boost and the polarity lights flashing between 1 & 2. It is not producing chlorine. I cannot get it out of this mode. I have unplugged it, turned power off to it, held down the + and - buttons simultaneously, held each one separately...

Water chemistry, about to start addition of boric acid...

I am getting ready to add borates next week. I have high alkaline well water. I’ve been working on getting my alkalinity down from 260 after we installed a new liner 4 weeks ago. I have my TA down to 100, so I’m gettin there. I had been having problems with scale in my SWG and in my pool, though...

    Opinions on SWG

We changed over to a SWG in 2018. I never really minded adding chlorine daily and had zero problems on liquid chlorine, I just got tired of buying cases of it and having to load and unload it from my car all the time. My SWG has never impressed me. It has never produced as much chlorine as I...

    White buildup on SWG plates

Thanks. I know in the past years, my TA was at 80 and I had no issues with build up. So, I’ll be ecstatic when I hit 80, but will shoot for a little lower because at 80 I never had scale, but did fight pH drift all summer. It’s just taking me a while to get to the numbers I want and I’m getting...

    White buildup on SWG plates

Ok, that’s what I will do and then test the stuff that breaks off to see if it fizzes. Thanks thanks. The biggest part of the build up is on the ends where it connects to the cap and not the plates.

    White buildup on SWG plates

I agree, it is my source water that is working against me. I’ve been letting the pH drift up to 7.8 and then using larger doses of MA to try brining the TA down at a quicker rate. I understand what you’re saying about keeping the Ph in check, so I guess I will try that and use smaller doses of...
