No I do not mean pouring full concentration on concrete. I am talking about chlorine pool levels over time on concrete. I will agree to disagree chlorine over time can damage concrete. It will take longer than full concentration but eventually can cause damage.

What I mean by my statement is the salt softens the water which counters the chlorine that has a drying out effect on your liner.

Chlorine/bleach is worse on liners than salt.

No but I have seen what chlorine can do to sidewalks. In my opinion chlorine is much more damaging to pool liners, pipes, decks, sidewalks ext. than saltwater. Now if our saltwater pools where as salty as the ocean then it would be a different story.

If you want to use 2" pipe and did not buy a filter yet then I would buy one with the 2" connections. If not reduce your pipe as close to the filter as you can and it will not totally defeat the purpose. I may be wrong but I think most all skimmer boxes and return jets for above ground pools...

I would go with the SWG. The Hayward AquaTrol has a built in timer. You can plug your pump into it and the SWG and pump run on one timer. I would bump upto the S220T on the sand filter.

Just keep in mind the bigger you make it the more it will cost. I am putting one on the pool this spring. I am making my deck 8'x16'. I figured out I will have less than 1k in materials. And I am doing the work myself.

I agree with others in that they should have given you more space around the pool. In my township by code if you have a bank like that you have to have at least 36" from the base of the pool to the bank.

Made my water levels and they made putting the paver blocks in a lot easier.:D

I will keep updateing as I go. I am also repainting the uprights and rails as well. I will post more pictures then.

I used to have a 24' intex but mine had sand under it. However knowing how they setup I would take my foam to the outside edge of the paver and cut a notch in the foam for your leg. As the leg should not be on top the foam. Then you could dress up around the outside with something.

Wow it must be nice to have a yard that anytime you do any digging you do not get rocks. :D But then again my house is built on a rock. Looks good so far.

I bought a used 30' pool this spring in hopes to have it up already but we know how that goes sometimes. The landscaper was in last week to level out the ground. Its replacing a 24' intex pool so thats why you see some sand in the picture. Had to make the area bigger. Hope to get my pavers...

Like Casey said if you do fill in anyting use crusher. It packs like cement. At least here in PA its easy to get.

No I do not think you are crazy. A lot of folks install there own pool. It just depends on the level of DIY you are ok with. I do not have any feedback on either place but I have bought things from www.nationalpoolwholesalers.com and have been happy with them.

Thanks. I am in the process of leveling the ground to put up my 30' round so that gives me an idea on how many sheets of foam I need.
