    Anyone have these wedding cake steps?

    I have both confer and wedding cake steps. With young kids the steps are great. I do take special care to sweep and bleach around them to keep algae away.

    I opened pool up for season. Added stabilizer via hanging sock and this morning started slam process. Hoping to have it clear soon.

    I'm in same spot as you, I have a very shaded pool because of huge oak tree so the pool hovers around 78-80. In May, it was around 74 and I used an opaque solar cover to get it to the 78 range...now its so hot that the temperature has stabilized to 80 but not much higher and I don't use the...

    Hey Casey, I posted one of those earlier in the build. It's probably on second page of thread. The only thing I did was cut some pool noodles to cover up the decking edges until we sand them smooth.

    Thanks to this forum, I'm definitely getting a great pool education. I had no clue about the chemistry involved. Pretty awesome group here! Now if I could only keep the leaves from falling into pool ?

    I wanted to use what was given to me since I have to introduce CYA. I'm not planning on using it regularly but didn't see buying extra stabilizer if I didn't need to.

    Ok, good, we won't add the borax. CYA we're aiming for is 30, per our pool specs - - - Updated - - - Well, it's the 30-50 range but we only added enough stabilizer and shock for 30

    Pool is full. We added CYA and a bag of shock. We tested this evening with the TF-100 (auto stirrer is totally cool :) ) Our 1st results Ph 7.2 FC 1.5 CC .5 TC 2 TA 180 Per pool math, added half gallon of bleach (seems low?) Per pool math, will add one box of borax to raise PH...This is where...

    We have water! Tomorrow the jets and skimmer will be installed and pool will be finished! Woohoo! Deck building to commence soon.

    The installers appear to be doing good job. My husband ended up filling the hole where stump was ground down to make sure it was filled and packed down properly. More photos later...

    No deep end. We have a huge oak tree in the middle of our yard and I did not want to risk hurting the root system by digging.
