Redoing pool tile in Las Vegas

I'm getting my pool replastered, so I decided to replace to the pool tile too. The old tile was falling off on the spa top and the color no longer matched the rest of the backyard since we painted the house and cool deck a different color. Before: After I did the tile myself. I put...

Heliotrop Helio-Matic Solar Controller Model 5000

I know this thread is several years old. I am curious if they repaired it or not. I have the same model and the relay is chattering in the morning - sounds like hysteresis where maybe its can't decide if it should turn on or not so it goes back and forth. I have a Pentair VS pump with the...

Should I paint my CPC Valves?

I'm very happy with the FloVis meter. I should have bought it 4 years ago when i got the variable speed pump. At the time they were over $200 at the pool supply store. Got mine for under $115 on Amazon - still a lot of money, but then anything related to a pool is because its a luxury item.

Should I paint my CPC Valves?

I just added a FloVis flow meter/check valve inline with the output of my pool pump/filter/heater. It works really neat and tell how many gallons of water per minute I am cycling. No more guessing, and I also can make sure I don't exceed the GPM of 3-5 GPM per solar pool panel on the roof...

Remotely activating a Pentair IntelliFlo VS Pump

Yeah, that's basically what I am looking to do. i already have a simple solar controller, it turns on the solar valve actuator when the sun is out and pool is cold. I would take voltage from that same output and run it into the Intellicom 2 which would tell the Intelliflo VS pump speed to kick...

Remotely activating a Pentair IntelliFlo VS Pump

i found a guy selling a like new Pentair 521109 IntelliCom 2. Its a little bit less than the Suntouch, although the suntouch looks like it would be pretty neat for a more full automation. It looks like i could put 4 switches on it and have 4 speeds. anyone have an opinion on the Pentair...

Help me identify this valve's use

I spoke to a guy at the pool company that took over for the original pool installer and he made a few guesses, but we never really figured it out over the phone or exchanging photos. I ended up doing the bucket test and determined that my water loss was from evaporation. It was about an inch a...

Remotely activating a Pentair IntelliFlo VS Pump

I had a Pentair VS pump installed a couple of years ago. It works great, saves a lot of electricity and has paid for itself. The only issue is that because of the plumbing layout, the digital digital display is near the back wall (away from the pool). So you have to lean over the top or...

Help me identify this valve's use

yeah, not sure about that either. It looks like there is a small check valve on the middle pipe of the infloor dome cleaner probably to keep water from going back down. right now my pool is losing water, so I either have a leak or some valve is turned in a manner that is draining it through...

Help me identify this valve's use

Hi, I have a 15-18 year old in ground plaster swimming pool in the Las Vegas, NV area. It also has an overflow spa attached. The pool has returns from the main drain and skimmer baskets of the pool (and from the spa) , goes through the pump, then a cartridge filter, then a gas heater and then...

Solar Panel on Clay Tile Roof Install

I know this is a really old post, but I just bought the same type of system and the same brand. I am curious as to how you ended up attaching it. I am thinking of drilling through the tiles and running a lag bolt into the trusses below the plywood.
