After slam for mustard algae did final brushing, vacuumed and changed filter. While cleaning filter found large amount of what I assume is dead algae imbedded betweem the filter pleats. Should I throw the filter away or clean and reuse?

Regarding the t-cell material. Checked at the pool store to compare and new one in the box had the same plate material as mine. White, 'plastic looking' nothing black inside of the t-cell my cell or the one at pool store.
