Bubbles in Return Line - And Strainer Basket

When running the pump at 2500, the air disappeared quickly, and did not return to the filter after bled. So I guess I don't have any leaks? Where's the air coming from? On high I seemed to get the small champagne bubbles from the SWG.

Bubbles in Return Line - And Strainer Basket

Hi all, Recently, I've noticed that I'm starting to get bubbles in my closest return line from my pump (maybe 10 ft from pump), but not in my other two returns (very rarely in one about 17-18 ft away, none in furthest return). I noticed the bubbles, about 1/4 inch in size or smaller started...

Right Speeds for Pool Cleaning? Filter?

At 2500 the current pressure is at 7.

Right Speeds for Pool Cleaning? Filter?

I'll check, but at 2000 rpm it's at about 1-2.

Stamped. It's an Ashlar pattern. Not sure on the pattern name- I guess the stamps are proprietary? It's Ashlar minus one square so it can be generally produced according to my concrete guy.

    Mystery Pool

Lots of crazy issues needed solving, too many to list here. Had a leak (2" per day) when first filled, turned out to be a lack of seal on one of the new drains PB installed. Now fixed, thankfully. Currently working on the property walls, landscaping, sealing the concrete, and generally making...

    HELP!! Pebble Sheen Advice

As an owner with Ocean Blue Pebble Sheen (which we love) I would say that the colors in the lights will certainly be influenced by your plaster color, as stated above, but the hue of the lights has an interesting impact- When I have my lights on Blue, the whole pool glows, adding a great impact...

Right Speeds for Pool Cleaning? Filter?

So the lack of pressure on the gauge of the filter doesn't really matter much?

Right Speeds for Pool Cleaning? Filter?

After the start up of my equipment and pool, I have some questions about pump speeds. I have an 18k gallon pool as noted in the sig. Easytouch automation so I can set speeds and alter the schedule, etc. My filter is the Pentair Cartridge CCP 420. I have noticed when running the pump at...

    Pentair EasyTouch Electrical Confusion

Yea... The programming will be a beast I hear. No heater on the pool, but open to adding one later, possibly. Thanks again!

    Pentair EasyTouch Electrical Confusion

Finally things make sense. I'm running 30 AMP 240 (sometimes I refer to it as 220) to the Panel. I did receive a cord with the pump. I know that plugs into the specific area for the Intelliflo, to control the pump. I'll have breakers in the sub panel out to the other items. Seems like I...

    Pentair EasyTouch Electrical Confusion

So if I'm understanding this correctly... 30 amp GFCI 220 into the Easytouch Panel. 220 GFCI Breaker INSIDE the Easytouch Panel runs to the pump. Other breakers for the light, Salt Chlorine Generator. (should also be GFCI?) (Can use 120 [due to having 2 hots, ground, and neutral])?

So, from my research, I'll be connecting following the plan indicated below, in beautiful MS paint graphics. [attachment=0:3ec7u4y0]Bonding Plan.JPG[/attachment:3ec7u4y0] My only concern is how I will connect to the Rebar in the pool. Not really sure if I'll have any visible when I dig around...

    Pentair EasyTouch Electrical Confusion

Yup ran an additional wire in the same raceway. So i wire the circuit to the pump first, then continue on to the Easytouch to power both on the same circuit? Not directly through the IC 40 port or the transformer in the Easytouch, or the port is just for coms?

    Mystery Pool

Good news. Kind of. Demo should finish tomorrow, and I should have tons of pictures to post for everyone. Downside: Due to all of the research I have been doing, I've noticed that pools should be bonded? My pool was originally built in 1959, before the code called for bonding. I don't see...

    Pentair EasyTouch Electrical Confusion

Hi All, I am so very, very confused due to some of the manuals provided with the Pentair Easytouch and IntelliFlo pump. Some of the information seems to contradict itself speaking about individual circuits, and despite reading most of the threads on here(yay search), I'm lost! I will be using...

    Mystery Pool

The Pentair 520593 EasyTouch 4PSC-IC40 seems like it would be able to solve many of my concerns. Hopefully the IntelliPH would work well with the system as well.

    Mystery Pool

Well, no heater, and no issues of freezing where we live, so seems like the base model would be appropriate. I'm just concerned with all of the negative reviews I have seen on the device... What's the next step up from Suntouch? Easytouch? Intellitouch? Any preferences on those?
  25. E

    Mystery Pool

Upon doing my research on the Suntouch, it seems like there are mixed reviews on the device, as it is extremely difficult to use. I wonder about which parts I would need as well, I.E. do I need actuators, temp sensors, valves? Might it be better to get one of the models where I can use an IPad...

    Mystery Pool

So it seems like the VS is the way to go. Now I'm just confused about these automation panels. Most seem to do far more than I'm looking to accomplish.
  27. E

    Mystery Pool

Right. I wonder if I could just get one of their panels that covers everything, but I'll have to price that out. The only differences between the pumps (VS against the VF) is the VF seems to adjust automatically as needed, whereas the VS does not?
  28. E

    Mystery Pool

Yup from my research I'm leaning towards the Intelliflo VF. Do you think that it's wise to go with further automation systems outside of the panel on the pump, SWG, and IntelliPH. If only to run a dedicated vacuum line? Not necessary? What do you think?

    Mystery Pool

Thank you all! Great words of advice. I'm leaning towards a variable speed, as I am eligible for a $500 rebate on the pump. However, I am not entirely well versed in selecting a good Variable speed pump, for my size of pool. I value energy efficiency and silence above all else, so maybe...

    Mystery Pool

So, we decided, we'd better see what we're up against. We cut a hole in the pool and... Nothing. Just a lot of dirty plaster, a few holes so the pool wouldn't have issues with water, and an old, old pool. The pool is 15x30, about 18.5k volume. So here's the deal. We've gotten some quotes...
