Yeah, that's what I've been doing. I end up with a pretty high FC reading in the morning (like 10-12) that declines throughout the day, which will have to suffice if I can't find a dawn-to-dusk switch.

I want to put my SWG on a dawn-to-dusk photocell switch so that it turns on when the sun comes up, and off when the sun goes down. This should be simple, but such a product doesn't seem to exist. Sure, I can find umpteen zillion dusk-to-dawn switches that turns a device on when the sun goes...

This is me, kicking myself for not saving the old bottles. We used to do that.

Weird. I've been using the same test agents from tftestkits for over 10 years and never had this issue. I'll admit to not always following the instructions and wiping the tip between drops, but it's never been a problem before.

We started our pool for the season a few weeks ago (added SWG this year...yay!), and I'd been testing with chemicals leftover from last season. Apart from the DPD powder which I think was giving me iffy results, everything else seemed in line. Our new chems from tftestkits.net arrived a few days...

I guess I really need to just wait for my test kit. All our local stores are out of them. I'll leave the generator off and add chlorine manually until I can get a good test of the salinity.

Well, I added 200 lbs. on Saturday, so I thought I should start getting steady (if low) readings by now. I just added three more bags today, for a total of 320 lbs.

That's really weird. I just got a Water Tech Volt FX-8 Li (same company that makes Pool Blaster), and it fits the 1 1/4" pole just fine.

Our Aquabot Elite mostly does a good job cleaning up the pool, but with the odd shape of our pool there are always spots that are left untouched. There are also times when some random debris blows in the pool and it seems silly to drop the cleaner in to take care of one little part of the pool...

All they did before they left was give me two bottles of a cleaning agent to add to the water once the pool was filled. They also said to avoid using the steps for five days. Not sure why we can use the pool but not the steps, but it'll probably be at least a few days before I'm happy with the...

Well, not really a new pool, but starting tomorrow we're draining it, then having the coping and tiling replaced, and the surface re-plastered. So basically a new pool since we'll be refilling it with untreated city water from delivery trucks. So I'm wondering how best to get the water quickly...

After using an Aquabot Elite for the last few years, I'm finding I like how it cleans (mostly), but I'd like to find the guy who designed the debris baskets and make him clean mine out for the next few cleanings. It's an awful design, and my next cleaning bot purchase decision won't be made...

If you can't get someone to check in on the pool daily, I would just float some cal-hypo pucks for the time you're away. Just be aware that they will raise your CH. Also note that they're not all that cheap, and in my experience, there's a tendency to deposit a blue residue that cleans up easily...

I travel a lot for work, so to give my wife a break from having to slop chlorine into the pool every day, I picked up some Poolife NST (non-stabilized tablets) to float in the pool. They work great, keep the chlorine at an appropriate level, and since my CH is a bit low anyway, I'm not sweating...

Welcome! You made the right move coming here. I wish I'd known of this forum when we first had our pool built, but when things went sideways on us this forum was a lifesaver!

We used to call our Polaris 9300 Cooper, because when I first saw it I thought of the Mini Cooper car. But now we just call it "gone". Good riddance to that needy, high-maintenance primadonna.

Re: 15' round pool ago. Need help with sand vacuuming. We have a Polaris 9300 which picks up sand VERY well. In fact, I didn't realize we had so much sand in our pool until I got it and the first few cleanings it picked up tons of sand. But I can't in good conscience recommend that cleaner...

Now that you've been running your Aquabot Elite for a while, how do you like it? Did you end up returning it? I'm done with our Polaris 9300xi. We've had it for four years and while it cleans very well, it's way too high maintenance. It just quit again, so we're going with an Aquabot Elite...
