    Starting from Scratch - Advice?

Yes, it got out of hand. You couldn't breathe. I was doing the 3-step method, so it might be worth trying the 2-step before giving up on it. Thanks to everyone, btw...

    Starting from Scratch - Advice?

I will take a look assuming bromine isn't feasible. Seeing a cleaning has never been done, it seems like a good idea. No sunlight. There are windows, but they block UV and even if they did not, the setup of the room prevents direct dunlight from ever hitting the surface. I didn't think...

    Starting from Scratch - Advice?

Thanks so much for the fast reply. I am going to re-read the sticky now. With respect to bromine, I am currently getting serious throat irritation with bromine which I assume is because the bromine level is so high (I use a floater and I did not have any fumes the first 6 months or so). But...

    Starting from Scratch - Advice?

Pool Info Endless Pool 2767 Gallons Indoor Cartridge Filter Vinyl Temperature 97°F I have owned and maintained my indoor Endless Pool since 2009. I have had many issues with maintaining the water, which were probably my fault (turned water blue, corroded heating elements etc,), along with...

Switch from Chlorine to Bromine. Do I need a new test kit?

Re: Switch from Chlorine to Bromine. Do I need a new test ki Its an indoor 3,000 gallon Endless Pool kept around 97 degrees - almost a hot tub. Bromine seems like the better option for me - less smell, better on fading bathing suits, no cyanuric acid, no need to shower after Bromine etc.

Switch from Chlorine to Bromine. Do I need a new test kit?

I am switching from Chlorine to Bromine (did a drain and refill). I have a Taylor K-2006 and Taylor K-2005, so does anyone know whether I need to buy a Taylor K-2106 FAS-DPD Bromine Complete Test Kit, or whether I can just buy certain individual re-agents for the Bromine? Or can the K-2005/6 be...

    Endless Pool Heating Question

Looking at some online calculators, it doesn't seem I'd need anywhere near 400k BTUs so hopefully that won't be an issue. Surface area is about 100sq ft (3000 gallons) and pool is in a heated/air conditioned room at sea level.

    Endless Pool Heating Question

Can you recommend any specific outdoor gas heaters? My installer is a good guy, but he tends to just think of using Endless Pool parts which aren't designed to go outside. The cost of installing the gas heater is so high because I have little space and no existing venting inside, so if I could...

    Endless Pool Heating Question

The cover is here, but it doesn't provide much info. Also, according to the manufacturer, the gas heater will raise the temperature of the pool 2 degrees F per hour, so on demand wouldn't be great since I think it probably loses 3-4 degrees per day at least. Plus the switch/thermostat is in the...

    Endless Pool Heating Question

Thanks for the quick reply. I don't think either of the two links would work. The pool is 8x15 with two sides up against walls. I've thought about building a pulley system to raise a hard cover over the pool, but I don't expect it would cost much less than the Endless Pools Automatic...

    Endless Pool Heating Question

Hello, I was wondering if someone could give me a little guidance on the best way for heating my Endless Pool. The pool is indoor and above ground and is about 3000 gallons. Because my wife has back and nerve injuries, we keep the pool at about 98F. For the same reason, we only have a solar...
