Wondering if anyone can suggest a strong enough reel system for a 16 min solar cover 16x32 size pool. Thanks.

Pool size is 16x21 deep end (down to 7' deep)...11x24 shallow end (3-1/2' deep). Just looking for the best bang for buck...efficient, etc. Tigerflex underground...2" PVC above ground plumbing.

I am putting in an L-shaped pool. 16x32 with 8x12 L section. 3-1/2' shallow end 6' deep end. Can anyone recommend a great pool pump that will turn the water quickly and efficient (2speed?). Also, any suggestions on sand filter vs cartridge? Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the input. We are now thinking of going with an L-shaped pool. Lshape=8x11x24 - 3-1/2' deep then a 21' section sloped down to 7' deep. No diving board but deep enough to jump in etc. Any thoughts? Is it worth it to do the L-Shape...my thought is it will create a shallow area for...

I made the mistake of putting in a cheaper algaecide...the kind that foams. How does one get rid of the foaming. The kids get in...splash around and the pool foams up. Any ideas how to get rid of the foam? Thanks.

My kids love to have the return jet pointing slightly up so that it makes a sort of waterfall effect. Question...does this much aeration cause any problems with the pool? If so, how often should I allow the jet to be pointing towards the surface? Thanks for any thoughts.

I have a ring of tree sap right at water level on my AGP. I have tried Muratic, Mr Clean bar, etc. Nothing works... Does someone have a trick up their sleeve for removing stubborn sap from the waterline?

Thanks for the replies. I put a 3/4" on and there is still slight "noise" (less than the 1")...when I put my hand down in front of the return and push against it...the "noise" goes away and the pump runs virtually silent. So, I am guessing that my 2hp pump needs some back pressure on it or it...

My original eyball fitting needed to be replaced. I opted to go with the 1" return size....well after installing I noticed the pump making much more of a cavitation sound. After research I found that you need some back pressure on the return line. So, I put my hand down in front of the return...

Thanks! Too bad for me I already filled the pool and everything had pressure. So, in a pinch I unscrewed the fitting as far as I could, cleaned the exposed threads, wrapped teflon tape around them and screwed it down. So far so good...when it warms up I will close off the water and take apart...

Well it happened....I discovered a small (1/2" diameter) hole in my liner. It is located just barely above water level (about 6" below top of pool) When kids are in pool the water does go over the hole. Do I need to be concerned? How would I fix this? Any tips/suggestions? Thanks.

No cover....I was reading that when you have that much vinyl exposed to the air...that you run the risk of it drying out and wearing faster...true?
