I took off Monday for the concrete pour. Cement truck cancelled. It was done Tuesday morning instead and I had to work. I understand it's going to get covered by pavers, but I am not doing that until next season. This is how it was left.
No problem on the questions.
Bottom is sand. Wish I did vermic due to footprints visible with the lights on.
Mine sat with no patio due to lack of funds.
The cement is being poured tomorrow. Pavers next year due to budget.
Thanks suz.
The liner is called Jamaica, by Merlin I think. The pines make a mess. Most will stay, but the one by the skimmers will go. Pavers won't be till next year. Still have to fence in the pool this year.
Thank you. That's a signature feature that the pool builder uses. We wanted a swim out, he recommended the steps, and it was the same price.
It's great for the kids, and the adults. Nice to be able to swim over and step out.
Outdoor carpet was a problem over the rocky base. It's 1000sqft around the pool. The concrete was $4.50sqft. Holding off on the coping and pavers till next year.
Coping will be bullnose in the fall. Cement will be poured even with the existing wall. Backfill was with existing material, which is Long Island north shore rocks. Lol
It's been tamped twice and sitting for 1.5yrs
Water was 47
Long Island electric rates are 22+ cents a kW with the surcharges added in.
My neighbor has a heat pump and it runs most of the day to keep the pool in the high 80s.
A good friend of mine has solar panels on his roof and his pool stays in the high 80s and doesn't cost them a dime.
I think...
My skimmers are on a seperate run from my main drain. It's the best way to go. I can easily drain the pool, can also shut off the drain to pull more suction while vacuuming.
