    Circupool Core55 or RJ60?

I keep hearing that if you can afford, go big and use at lower power. So, since this is a new investment, that's what I'm aiming for. Pool is roughly 20K gallons, so either are enough overkill. I have a new pentair intelliflo 3 pump with relay, currently just on intermatic timer 24/7, using...

Weir door skimmer round cover flappy thing missing

I don't know if this helps, I see reference to u3 but not sure if that refers to the lid or the skimmer and basket size.

Weir door skimmer round cover flappy thing missing

Bperry I think adding chemicals in the skimmer probably came from adding de, but my new filter isn't d e anymore. I'll avoid that from now on. Jim, I may or may not try that spaceship thing down the road, but putting chemicals in front of one of the four pool returns makes good sense. And I'll...

Weir door skimmer round cover flappy thing missing

Jim and Bperry, thanks tons for the replies. For the skimmer at the bottom, that picture was before I realized what the cap was, it's not a cap. It was soft and powdery, I'm guessing it was the 7 lb of conditioner I added a few days ago to the freshly filled pool after the resurface. Probably...

Weir door skimmer round cover flappy thing missing

Rectangular outside and round inside. Never had a basket or weir door. I think i remember previous owner mentioning something about a round cover to seperate skimmer from pool. Our pool pad has only one pipe in from pool. We don't have a diverter to choose drain or skimmer. When the pump...

Can my new Intelliflo3 with relay board power a heater?

I'm wiring (attempting) my new Intelliflo3 and relay board. Before - electric box (junction or subpanel? probably just junction) to Intermatic Line-1 and Line-3, so always on. - Load-2 and Load-4 from intermatic to pump. - Load-2 and Load-4 from intermatic to heater. So, when the timer was on...

Am I insane or genius with this heater bypass?

So I ran out of time and patience as I put in the new pump and filter. Yes, someone keeps saying it on here, I'm going to give a shout out. That Intelliflo3 is QUIET!!! I have such a small area to work with. And I didn't get all my bypass and heater stuff done. but I need the water circulating...

Can my new Intelliflo3 with relay board power a heater?

Awesome. Yes, gas heater, I imagine the power is just for control board and electronics, etc. I HATE that the gas line is sticking up out of the pathway, but I've dealt with that for years, so nothing new, and adjusting that is NOT something I want to DIY. As I am fidgeting with the new layout...

Can my new Intelliflo3 with relay board power a heater?

Title pretty much says (asks) it all. The relay board has two spots, a low voltage and a high voltage. I keep hearing it'll power lights or a SWCG on the low, and a booster pump, or lights, or SWCG on the high. Would the Hayward heater that's currently wired into the intermatic timer be able...

Jandy into pump, Jandy or ball valves for backwash, and heater bypass. Check my work.

Well, I didn't find that fitting at my local big box store, so... that idea went away. I'll fidget with it tomorrow. Right now, I'm at that crazy spot - no filter, no pump, very few pipes. I didn't get a picture before dark, but it basically looks like this... Teardown is done. Tomorrow bright...

Jandy into pump, Jandy or ball valves for backwash, and heater bypass. Check my work.

So the challenge now is, the heater inlet/outlet are very close to the pump, so I need to go in/out of the heater and immediately go 'up' so that I have access to the keypad / motor if needed. I don't recall seeing any three-way fittings that are 3 directions, they are all Tees. If the water...

Jandy into pump, Jandy or ball valves for backwash, and heater bypass. Check my work.

Progress report... Nervous, so I decided to 'pre-build' as much as possible, also so when I cut into the old stuff, I've got less down time. I marked the pad in my garage with blue tape, ignoring accuracy, but it's not incredibly far off. (I thought it was 40 wide but it's only 36, so extra blue...

Jandy into pump, Jandy or ball valves for backwash, and heater bypass. Check my work.

Unfortunately there's no way I can do more than a few inches for the pump. Unless I run the pump sideways and then send the pipe out of foot and a half to the right and make a U-turn and come right back. At that point I could easily put 10 in before the pipe but I'm introducing three additional...

Jandy into pump, Jandy or ball valves for backwash, and heater bypass. Check my work.

A slightly different angle (and before I scooched the filter closer to the pump... I see some heater bypass with 3 ball valves, and I see others with one diverter and one check valve. That's the way I have it set up in the diagram.
