Our 1st spillover spa, a few questions w/ pic

Hello, I'm a seasoned pool owner and longtime TFP member but I've never owned one with the spa option. I've searched the forums but still have a few questions for the pros reading this post... 1. How do I identify which mfg & model spa we have so I can order a cover for it? 2. We live in NW...

CalSpa runs for 10-20sec then shutsoff - readout shows 000

We've purchased a home that happened to have a non-operational hot tub. Last Fall I cleaned it out, filled it up, turned it on and it ran for 10-20 seconds then shutoff. The control panel screen flashes 000 when this happens. Then I have to flip the breaker Off/On to be able to start the tub...

Millions of tiny red bugs - to spray or not to spray?

We noticed them earlier this week while swimming, thousands of them all over the concrete pool deck and retaining walls. Supper tiny and they don't fly. Basically looks like a chigger, which is what our friends thought they were. Well, chiggers bite and burrow if they get on you and nobody had...

New to TFP, New to Pool Care, Native to Northwest Arkansas

Hello everyone! Thought we'd say hello and introduce ourselves. My wife and I bought a home this last winter and it has a pool. Neither of us have ever maintained a pool but we both always loved the idea of having our own pool. So we're looking forward to diving into the forum posts and...
