    Aiper Surfer S2?

That is great news. Me betta does the backward dump out fine particles (not the end of the world and it reminds me to empty the basket) - might consider this one now that it reliably runs on solar.

Pool over run from heavy rain

All went well / I’ll keep it at slam for a couple days and do an OCLT and see how she does.

    Aiper Surfer S2?

But you turn it off when you revive it. My problem wasn’t how much it used during the day. It was that it drained it to empty overnight. Then took to long to get a charge enough for it to turn on.

    Aiper Surfer S2?

Does the new firmware allow you to schedule? I really like my S1 and would consider the S2 if you could leave it in the pool and it would charge solar and run a good part of the day. The s1 killed the battery running WiFi all night and then took very long to charge solar from completely dead...

Pool over run from heavy rain

When I get super heavy rains - the water drains from several yards and if my drain pip cover gets clogged - it can run into my pool. Obviously I need to work on that. (I’ve been here 1 year) I have a strong pump and a way oversized DE filter that I have faith will clear this up. I started...

    Aiper Scuba S1 Review

Ah bummer. I had high hopes. I guess katodude had the right idea - get it on sale - buy the warranty and be able to justify the cost over the warranty period and assume it won’t outlast the warranty. Disappointing…

    Aiper Surfer S2?

I had the original Surfer S1 and sent it back because it would last through the day just fine after a charge. It had plenty of charge at sun down. Then it would drain the battery keeping wifi going through the night. The battery was completely dead in the morning and by the time the sun was...

    Death Swamp

Grabbing my popcorn - can’t wait to see your progress! Pics, pics! My wife loves dr pimple popper - I love slam pics. Very satisfying.

    Aiper Scuba S1 Review

I also just blow mine off each time - I keep a can of dielectric grease spray - just a quick spray on both the S1 and the charger once every few weeks - seems to keep the connectors from corrosion. Silicone lube probably works better? spray easier to apply. All good - just to slow the pool...

    Broken pieces in plumbing

Yes the plan is to run it as low as I can to save money and filter better etc. Seems we only have a choice of 1.5 or 3. I could get the 1.5, but apparently the way the power is consumed it would eat probably triple the power all else equal. The other problem is now that I have all the plastic...

    Broken pieces in plumbing

thanks 1poolman1 for taking the time to comment on this - I learn so much from you and the other experts on this forum! I do like that the equipment that I have tends to be overkill for my little pool. The whisperflo 2HP and the FNS 60 and the 400k heater make this pool super easy to take care...

    Aiper Scuba S1 Review

Mine still working since November - not very long yet - here's to hoping. I'm actually impressed with the filtering size. It seems to be able to pickup very very fine silt. Now if it would just get the horizontal bench surfaces and the corners between the wall and the floor. I am going to...

    Broken pieces in plumbing

Good catch. I made a DIY nodejs PoolController from tagyoureit and the relayequipmentmanager from rstrause and got it running last June. I didn't know a lot at the time as I had just got the pool - I never finished the heater control part as it's quite easy to run from the front panel of the...

    Broken pieces in plumbing

Hmmm... not sure why it's brittle then. All of the grids are brittle - as I was removing them from the manifolds the pipe part that goes in the manifolds were breaking and you could just snap them off with your hands. All of them were quite brittle. I opened this one as it had the most free...

    Broken pieces in plumbing

Mystery solved. I figured I would just follow up in case it may help someone. They came from my filter grid elements. Who knows how old they were - not a single tear in the material covering the girds, but the plastic grids themselves were brittle and coming apart. I cut the worst one open...

    Broken pieces in plumbing

I do not the versa bypass on the JXI heater. Here is a couple pics of the chlorinator. I couldn't see anything broken or missing in there... I get what your saying on the not making it through the heater... therefore it's not likely parts from the filter or the multi port valve. It looks...

    Broken pieces in plumbing

I started getting low flow in my spa jets, upon inspection I found these pieces logged in the jet housings. I have also heard a couple times what sounded like pieces racing through the plumbing hitting corners and parts (not a pleasant sound at all). I replaced the check valve a year ago when...

    Aiper Scuba S1 Review

Wow just saw the video on the Scuba X1 Pro Max. Does surface and bottom 5 hours bottom, 10 hours surface (I assume either / or not both). They have a few videos from CES on youtube. All right Katodude... how long before you succumb to the call for yet another robot...... but this one does...

    CaliMar VS Pumps Updates

Sorry to hear one may have gone belly up - hopefully that’s an exception and your others continue to work longer. Will you replace with another Calimar, or will you bite the bullet and buy an intelliflo or similar? Still cheap enough and easy enough to swap out, but unreliability could leave...

    CaliMar VS Pumps Updates

Yes I know this is a very old thread - just wondering from the OP if the Calimar VS pump is still working ok?
