OK, here's the update. I think I am winning. As of today: FC=3 CC=0 PH=7.4 TA=70/80 (depending on definition of "turning red") CYA=70ish Water has cleared slowly, but there is progress. Just now, it looks the best it has so far. I'll just maintain from here.

I found this statement in the Recommended Levels FAQ: If you are using trichlor tablets for chlorine, follow the bleach recommendations but have TA around 100-120 and be sure it doesn't fall below 100. Question is, what happens if the TA is below 100?

I have a fiberglass/resin ladder in my AG pool, that appears to be discolored. I thought it was algae but it doesn't scrub off easily. Could there be algae embedded in the material that the ladder is made of? I'm planning on pressure washing the ladder after it's removed from the pool.
