I had one night like this when we had the ice storms a month or two back, pool equipment did not sound great so I cut it off and drained. First warm up it started it again and it ran just fine, smooth and quiet like it should and no leaks.

Yes, you are right, it is the DPD test kit. I have been doing the 50/50 mix and doubling the result since it has been over 100ppm.
