    CH suddenly low?

I've never struggled with low CH. Lately for the last couple of weeks I'm reading 150. This pool has always been on the high side 250-300+ usually. Plaster pool about 13 years old. Everything else is close to normal for me anyway. this mornings results TFTtest with new chemistry. FC 5 ppm PH...

Hayward ProLogic Temperature high, Salt reading low

I'm chasing a problem with my SWG that started a couple weeks ago. Added salt one evening, the next morning got the no power warning on the SWG . Checked the 20Amp fuse, it was blown. Figured some new salt must have got in the cel and overloaded the circuits. Replaced the fuse, everything was...

    Doheny's Discovery, S200, Active20, Triton owners club

So far so good with my Active 30i! Mr. Ray does a fine job. I'm certain the Active 20 would've been fine though. The Bluteeth isn't all that and I didn't really need the cart. But the better warranty, longer cleaning cycle and higher rebate (which I received today btw) swayed my vote. It's...

Just wanted to let you guys know I checked this thread 2 days ago with NO intention of buying a Robot. Just looking for information. My Creepy/Great White suction cleaner has served me well ,until we added a heater. The reduced flow has really messed him up. Replaced all the mechanicals ran the...

CYA at 0 TA 40 what do I fix first?

My parents have a newly resurfaced plaster pool (well a little less than a year). Running a Hayward SWG. My brother has been keeping an eye on the PH, salt and Chlorine but not anything else. After hearing reports of bubbles on the pool walls I stopped by yesterday with my TFT100 to do a...

    Calcium Hardness raising. Why?

Thanks for the help chem geek. I didn't have enough chlorine to shock to 21 as the Pool Calculator indicated. So I set the SWG to "Super Chlorinate" and let it run all night. This morning FC is at 21ppm. I shut the SWG off. Should I keep it off untill the Chlorine comes down to 6? Or just leave...

    Calcium Hardness raising. Why?

I'm usually pretty careful about adding acid. Mix it in a bucket of water an pour slowly into the deep end. Usual dose is about 20 oz. Cleaned the SWG yesterday, added a little bleach, and let the filter run all night with the Great White cleaner scrubbing away. This morning's results TC/FC 6...

    Calcium Hardness raising. Why?

Yes we get plenty of rain. So much so that for awhile it looked like I had a zero edge pool. That's why I'm surprised its getting so high. I always thought.... "The solution to pollution is dilution"

    Calcium Hardness raising. Why?

Using modified test, results... about the same, 22 drops= 550 Is having Calcium Hardness this high really a problem?

    Calcium Hardness raising. Why?

Fill water just tested =50. Never added cal-hypo just some cya and salt I'll bump up the SWG a bit. Going to clean it to for the first time Zero CC s BTW

    Calcium Hardness raising. Why?

This is my first post so go easy on me. Pool was finished last October and I've been following the TFP guidelines for my chemistry. Using the TF-100 kit. Current levels FC-3 PH 7.5 TA 60 CYA 80 Salt 3300 CH-540 :hammer: I usually have to add acid a couple times a week to keep th PH under...
