    Lights Leaking after Rebuild

Yes water stops going down significantly after .25 to .5 inches below the skimmer mouth. Loosing almost 1000 gallons a day when trying to keep full.

    Lights Leaking after Rebuild

The water level had been allowed to drop quite a bit by then. My issue is the skimmer was just placed in August, both the leak detection company and pool contractor missed this on more than one visit. I feel like this explains why the water loss is increased the higher the water level is kept...

    Lights Leaking after Rebuild

I have an issue with the leak detection company now as well. They said my skimmer was intact and not a cause for concern. Over the weekend I found the attached - originally I thought this to be just the tooling line where the mold for the skimmer separated but in the picture you can clearly see...

    Lights Leaking after Rebuild

Trying my best to be as amiable as possible. Im also not out to have them do a bunch of work they don't need to, I'm not a complainer - but the pool is none functional the way it is now. My jets aren't like that, they are just pressed into the pipe coming through the wall, I have wondered if...

    Lights Leaking after Rebuild

As of today they want to blame it on the crack repairs and since those aren't covered by any sort of warranty I'm sol. Out of the goodness of thier hearts they will come out and fix the cracks however along with some other cosmetic issues. I'm still not convinced its not the skimmer or autofill...

    Winterizing Solar

Thanks mas958, no i'm in Sacramento proper, I wasn't sure if some of our colder days could cause issues in the panels. I never winterize the pool and its never been an issue but since the pathways in the panels are much smaller i wasn't sure.... at the very least I would like to turn off the...

    Winterizing Solar

I'm thinking its about time to turn off the solar for the winter. This is my first winter with it and I want to make sure I do everything I"m supposed to, very nervous that if I don't do the programming correct on the SunTouch controller I'll end up with my valves causing a dead end and breaking...

    Lights Leaking after Rebuild

Thanks everyone, this has been so frustrating. We allowed the pool to drain until it settled and stopped. 3/4 inch below the skimmer and 8 inches above the lights. Builder came out, found a crack in the pebble and said "thats your problem" we'll put non matching puddy in it and get out of here"...

    Lights Leaking after Rebuild

Thanks for the comment, I was wondering why not use something like that but the builder isn't really giving that option. They want to drain down and use aquabond to seal around it now since the puddy isn't working (I think it might be worse actually)....

    Lights Leaking after Rebuild

I have been working with my remodel builder to fix some leaks at the niche. They have come out twice to try and puddy the conduit at the niche unsuccessfully. Next they want to drain below the light and use aquabond to seal the leak. This is instead of digging up the brand new concrete and...

    Lights Leaking after Rebuild

Pool is 8 weeks post renovation. Plumbing was not changed or updated and has been tested to hold pressure. The light conduit was not pressure tested and the leak detection company confirmed we are loosing 35gal/hr through the pool lights. I've contacted my builder but they are being slow. Are...

    New Pentair Solar Touch

Intelipro vsf is the pump, it has the communication cable. I hadn't found the manual you attached, if I'm reading that correctly there still needs the daily dial timer and the relay just kills it while the solar turns on, I still don't see how it gets wired to the timer though. I see the relay...

    New Pentair Solar Touch

Having solar installed today. Current setup is a Pentair VS pump, the solar touch controller, and polaris 280 with pressure side pump. According to the installer the booster pump will no longer be controlled by the rotary timer, and the pump will no longer be controlled by the onboard...

    This site Rocks

Yall have a great help with understanding my pool. I don't think I've ever had it looking this good. I'm sure its better than what I would get spending $180/month on the local pool guy or using the advise from the big pool store (grrrr)

    Filter Pressures

This is just a question for additional understanding. Reading around the internet in general if your pump pressure increases 10lbs time to clean or change. Also in general you shouldn't be above 30lbs. What none of the information I've run across discusses is that the pressure changes depending...

    New Test Kit Trouble

I have an older k1004 kit I have been using and recently after a replaster I thought I would pickup a k2005 so I could monitor calcium and alk more closely. That being said I'm having a heck of a time with the new kit. Attaching a picture for reference. The old 1004 on the left is matching what...
