Intelliflo VS pump tripping GFCI breaker

Wow, 94K gal pool...how do you sanitize your pool? Either way, I would recommend having a separate breaker for all VSP's. I would also highly recommend a Surge Protector in your pool panel. If that panel is full, you can add one to your house panel that feeds the breaker that powers your pool...

Siemens/Pentair GFCI on other panels (VSP)

Call Sq D tech support. If their panel states Siemens compatibility, then let them trouble shoot it. I have a Hywd automation panel and have successfully fitted both SQ D & Siemens DP 20amp GFCI breakers. The SQ D has a 5mA max rating while the seimens has a 6mA rating. That extra 1mA seems...

Wiring in black & decker vsp to pro logic with automation adapter

Golf, contact tech support again at pool parts and ask them for other clients w the same configuration as yours that's working fine. See if you are able to compare notes/pics/etc to ascertain of there are any differences? What would be ideal is if you could find a pump just like yours that's...

    Muriatic Acid quality

Thanks again for everyone's comments, suggestions and feedback. I changed email providers and they are tough on allowing forum message notices, even though I have "provided safe domain notes" in my junk folder. Just now seeing these comments.... From the board, I learned that MA is pretty...

    Muriatic Acid quality

Hello to all, Not sure if this is just a local issue [Houston/Harris, Fort Bend, Montgomery counties] or more widespread, but was trying to discern if any of you in these areas have experienced weaker or less effective Muriatic Acid? My TA is always in the 50-60 range. It seems like in the...

In-line Puck Chlorinator leaking at dial

Hello to All, I use the puck feeder only to add CYA as needed and a break from periodically pour CL. I called CMP technical support but they didn’t even know their product. The dial that determines the flow rate (CW fully open, CCW, Closed) is dripping when it’s moved CW to dispense. If i...

Pool is almost 96-97 by late day, cools to 89 at night

Anything over 83-84, I might as well take a bath....75-80 is my range...it doesn't take long to get acclimated to 75 degree water...but going in temp's over 85, it is virtually. at least to me, like taking a mild bath.... Thanks for everyone's comments

Pool is almost 96-97 by late day, cools to 89 at night

Chillers, cost-effectively, work when you want to keep 85 degree temps to 80ish. But when water temps are 92-95, it would be running all the time which is not what it's made for or built to do...the best way to cool off is backflow about 1/3 of 800 gal spa, add 4-5 home depot 5 gal buckets of...

Pool is almost 96-97 by late day, cools to 89 at night

Great info Mdrag...really appreciate it... our pool runs S-N and winds are predominately from the S, so a winds sail might end up sailing...we had a microburst 2-3 weeks ago with 75MPH...there were pool tools in my yard from 3 houses N of me...m-burst came from the NNW...I am going to build a...

Our temps are going to be even more off the chart next week, but it's already crazy now. However, I heard Las Vegas is going to be 117-118 next week. We will get to 106-7 next week, but our humidity starts at 85-90%. The heat index was 120 degrees at 103 with 78% humidity... Marty, what type...

    3" tabs for CYA

Hello to all, Hope everyone and your families are all doing well. I've always kept a stash of 3" pucks for the sole purpose of CYA addition, and the added plus of not having to add CL for a short period of time, esp if I am traveling. Like everything else, what used to be $145 for 50lbs is...
