Unfortunately I inherited it when I bought the house. Had no idea it was configured like that. Is there a chance the other electrical equipment has been damaged like the salt panel?

Pump, booster pump, gas heater, salt panel, and the air bubble maker thing for spa.

Noticed pool pump not on. Timer is running but manual switches not turning on pumps. No breaker tripped. Opened panel and saw melted wires....

Yeah the new one was faulty. Nothing obvious to me externally. I held the new (bad one) up out of water and it was like a water hose nozzle set to full rather than stream. Connected my old working valve and when I held it out of the water it was like a jet stream and was shooting a lot farther.

Just updating... it was a bad backup valve. I plugged my old cleaner back up valve in to the new polaris and it started behaving properly.

Was not the Head Float... it was installed. but reading some posts about the head float needs to be pushed in on a new Polaris? I'll check that

Come to think of it... I am not sure there was a head float on it when i put it in the pool.... maybe i left it in the box?

To be honest.... I am sure I am putting a bandaid on the issue. The PCB board/buttons will be my last attempt. Currently I have $ the funds to try that. I don't have the funds to replace the whole unit. So if this does not work it might be a year before I can replace the whole unit.

Hi Paul, Yes holding down all three buttons for up to 10 seconds did not change to Remote mode. Still just says off and water temp. I will start looking for replacement boards. I think to be safe I will replace the buttons as well (PN 006739F) In your experience are the PCB board failures...
