So that is algae? I’ll flip the ladder when I get home and look. Should I pour some chlorine on this spots and scrub it? Also, I should always take the ladder out when not using it, right?

So my ladder has been out of the pool for the last few days, but after taking a closer, look, there might be some algae. And that does seem to smear. Now I remember seeing those when WHEN the ladder was in the pool.

How often would you brush and vacuum? (Note that I have to do all that manually.)

Curious, what are those steps? Mainly keep FC in range?

I don't recall it being slimy, a bit hard to get off with my fingers so I got the brush and that did the trick. 20 days!!! Holy moly.

Right! I'll keep SLAMing today and test tonight again. PS: The little dust debris seems less but there are always some at the same spot at the bottom of the pool. Just a few little lines/spots.

What would I do without you and @Mdragger88 :) So I will slamming today and will test again tonight....Now what happens if this just goes on and on and I keep losing 2ppm overnight? Because it it was really bad I would lose a lot more overnight, right?

I just went to brush the pool and I noticed this on the waterline all around the pool. Is that just due to the water line or is it algae? I was able to brush it off. Also, safe to swim in the pool while I slam? Kids as well? I know I asked but just making sure.

I’m really intrigued what the black dust is at the bottom of the pool because there is still some left a little bit… it really just spoof when I brush it or try to skim it.

Pretty much the whole day I was at an FC of 25 an above, always adding to get close to 31. At 25 and above, can it still kill the algae or I NEED to be at 31 the WHOLE day?

Finally at 31! I'll test once more before I leave and then start the overnight test at 10pm. If I pass the overnight test and yet I still see that debris, it means that it's NOT algae, right?

Ok so test at 10 pm and then the sun rises at 6:47. Does it need to be completely dark in the morning or just before sunrise?

Hahahah I can confirm that my wife thinks I'm crazy too with this pool. Sounds good, question! I need to leave my house at 7:30pm tonight and the sun doesn't set till 7:50pm...I won't be back until 10pm. How should I approach this?
