    No chlorine loss overnight so that's not too bad. However, PH has risen from 7 to 7.2 overnight with the pump (creating aeration when the water falls from spa to pool) only running for half an hour. Does this seem like a lot ?

    That's what I'll do next time, but I added the full 1.9l (1/2 g) in one go this time. Dropped it down significantly so will see where it settles after some more aeration. Current TA is approx 75 so that's on target, FC has dropped from 17 to 12 running without the SWG. Will wait til PH + FC is...

    Thanks for the heads up I'll grab some today. Adding dry acid yesterday didn't really change the PH much so I imagine that as my test maxed out at 7.8 PH the actual levels were considerably higher. Is 1/2 an hour long enough to wait after addition to re-test the PH ? Leaving the filter pump on...

    Thanks Herman. I am using Pool Math. I've added some dry acid to reduce PH (amount as per the app) so will let that circulate for an hour or so before retesting. I'll sort out the TA/PH first, then CH over time and then CYA. - Added 225g dry acid to reduce PH to 7 - Let circulate for an hour...
