    Sun ledge/baja shelf build

Hi and welcome to TFP! What a scary time in your life as they work on building just what you want! The one thing I want to ask about is the WATER depth of the shelf. Sit on the floor and think about where you want the water to hit you when you sit on the shelf. Not over your legs? Just over...

Is this a good price ..

I think the BEST pool to have the best of all worlds is the L shaped pool! The "foot" is the shallow area with a depth of 4' and ledge at the toes area. This area is for active games like volley ball and Watermelon Ball!. The "leg" part is the "deep" end. I would do at least 6' deep as that the...

what do you think you will do the most in the pool? Float with a drink in your hand? Have kids? They are going to want to at least cannon ball into the pool. It is really all about how you will use the pool. Let us know and we can go from there.

Is this a good price ..

Be there when they get there. Ask to see the plans they have. Make sure they are for YOUR pool (yes we have seen them dig the wrong pool in a yard  ) As soon as they say they are done go out there with the plans and a tape measure. Is it long, wide, deep, etc enough? Add about 8" for the...

Construction days you should be on site

For some it did make a difference if the owner was there. One example is they saw them making the pool entrance a "normal" one with raised coping. It was SUPPOSED to be a walk in beach style entrance due to their child being a in wheelchair. He caught them in time to not have to use big machines...

New Build - Vinyl Pool - Final Planning Prep - Digging Stage

The deeper your shallow end the less the slope/transition will be to the deeper end. I would go 4' to 6.5' 6.5' gives you better chances of doing a cannon ball without hitting your bum.

GURRRRRRRR on this happening and many adult words for you! Patching 101: -The patch should have rounded edges. No sharp corners or such. -There should be two patches. One that fits over the hole and the other that is bigger than the first. I would avoid brushing the patch to be on the safe...

Owner Build, New in ground pool in Sacramento, CA

I love my sand filter! No matter what kind you get (Sand, cartridge, DE) get the biggest one your wallet can handle. Pump should be a variable speed if at all possible. If that is too rich for your wallet then a 2 speed would work.
