    Is my filter bad now?

It rotates just a bit into position when installed to help secure it...and the tabs that it settles on broke off- I certainly didn't feel like I used any real force when I pulled it out - just came out. It's like 180 bucks for a new one :cautious:

    Is my filter bad now?

The tabs that help secure the filter to the bottom of the housing broke off... not sure how.. If those tabs are gone - is this thing done?

    Slight Depression Spotted Near Upright

Sounds like there is less to worry about if your liner had held up for more than 8 years under those similar circumstances! Frustrating a brand new pool has the same divots after your request to the construction crew wasn't fulfilled. Thanks for the intel!!

    Slight Depression Spotted Near Upright

Thanks for the reply and the note on your experience! I believe settling is the most likely cause - just tough to believe as the material that was installed was plate tamped multiple times/passes but I guess it's always possible.

    Slight Depression Spotted Near Upright

There is no leak that I can see. No water/mud. No signs of animals burrowing... This is an oval pool with a deck around it. This is the side that the deck is on... so I have to go under the deck to access the area > I built up this side with a good bit of material to try and force rain...

    Slight Depression Spotted Near Upright

Hey there TFP crew, I am needing some advice on how to manage this situation. I've spotted an indentation in the pool liner near the upright. It's about the size of my palm at this time. I am also noticing another small indentation on the upright adjacent to this one. Looking for advice on...

First Steps to Getting Saltwater Pool Rolling

No problem... Just grateful everyone here is so willing to provide their knowledge/tips/expertise. I went from "holy Darn what did I get myself into??" after opening up the TF Pro Testing Kit for the first time... to feeling so much more comfortable after reading through a few threads... I...

First Steps to Getting Saltwater Pool Rolling

Appreciate the tip! Thank you. When switching from low to high speed (or high to low) do you recommend that I wait a certain amount of time and let the pump sit for a moment? Or does it not make a difference?

First Steps to Getting Saltwater Pool Rolling

New issue... Dropped the robot in for the first time to do some cleaning - that was all good. There was water rolling in there this morning (see photo) and always has been since I primed the filter initially... now there isn't. Should I assume something is clogged? Do I need to start...

First Steps to Getting Saltwater Pool Rolling

I will check my kit and get that done. Hopefully that's all it is. Thanks. Not sure I see my SWG listed in that guide. Is that guide specific to Circupool products? Mine is a Solaxx. Thanks for sending along the info!

First Steps to Getting Saltwater Pool Rolling

I will update my numbers tomorrow but so far: FC - 3 PH - 7.5 on the meter that came with the TF Pro kit (PH seems difficult to discern in the comparator block-appears higher on the block) CYA - 50 (although not sure this is a bit challenging to test and confirm at the moment for me) TA - 80...

First Steps to Getting Saltwater Pool Rolling

I did the CYA treatment using the sock method, added salt, and started chlorine per Texas Splash advice and was following his steps. I did undershoot a bit on each item. Hopefully I made the right moves so far. Thanks

First Steps to Getting Saltwater Pool Rolling

So grateful to everyone that has responded thus far. This has been a bit more overwhelming than I initially thought to get things going... but I may just not be in the best headspace considering the last three/four or so weeks have required a lot of adjustment and pivoting. Pump is on and...

First Steps to Getting Saltwater Pool Rolling

Thanks so much for the responses! So I had downloaded the Pool Math app - my issue is I don't see my SWG listed. It's a Solaxx Retro Jet RJ. I'm assuming my calculations will be thrown if I don't have the correct system selected. Please advise!

First Steps to Getting Saltwater Pool Rolling

I know this is likely posted in a few different areas so please point me in the right direction if it saves everyone the headache. Apologies in advance. I have tried searching multiple places and don't seem to get a clear answer. Is "opening a pool" the same the for the very first time as it...

There is a massive difference between these filters but these are the two “higher end” offerings from the site. so you would say spend the extra 700 or so dollars to get the huge mega quad cartridge filter?
