I had the same thought today! LOL! Swim season is coming!

I am in N Garland area and my pool is 56 right now. We plan on heating it for an Easter swim! Hopefully it will be easy!

Homemade leak detectors?! Interested! Oh and I have a pair of Mallard ducks that come every evening...I am trying my best to not encourage it, but they are sooo cute! I'll post some pics of them. Hoping for easy spa repair!

Congrats on your pool! We had ours built last fall, only swam 3 times before it got too cold..lol! I can't wait for it to get warmer. Love the pics!

I have a really new pool/setup. I have been running the cleaner to get a bit of large leaves out of the pool, but the past couple of days, the polaris isn't moving. The back 2 wheels float up and it just sits there. Any ideas?

Pool temp is 71, I will climb in when it's mid 70's, but its chilly outside tonight too :( I noticed my pool temp creeps up when we use the spa. We can heat the whole pool, but it's nice side affect of the spa anyway :)

I just had some of my landscaping done as well. I'm sure you're is gonna be prettier, but I did do the drought tolerant as well. More Texas native kinda plants, Oleander, sage..that kinda thing. I will update with a pic this weekend. Good luck with the landscape, keep us posted!!

I did the tf100 drop test. A little background..I just opened my pool. PB did the acid wash to cure the plaster. Today I cleaned the filter (yuk!) for the first time. I still have a lot of dust when I sweep, so I am gonna just be patient with those numbers. I think I need to filter...

SWG, new plaster pool. First pool measurements, aren't good: FC - 0 CC - 0 PH - 7.8 ish, maybe a little higher TA - 60 CH - 3300 CYA - 0 Salt - 1560 Pool Vol - calculated @ 44883 CH is way out of whack. I know the forum recommends emptying the pool, but seriously? Opening the pool they did...

Work, band competitions, too much going on...lol. I haven't swam or visited the hot tub yet either. Tomorrow I will need to get my chemicals in order for sure :)

I have been rescuing the same frog from my pool for 3 days now.. He was swimming around enjoying himself (He was the first to swim..lol) Found him in my skimmer, still alive and I let him loose. Haven't seen him since. *gulp* I know there is more coming!

Update: Pool builder did not recommend turning on the heater right now. They wanted the pool to cycle alone to get all of the plaster dust off the bottom. They said turning on the head could cause the plaster dust to cure and clog in the heater :shock: Yesterday was nice outside an our pool...

When all else fails, I offer my husband to take the job if he can do better..lol

No spa side controls, and things aren't labeled either. 1-4 is not labeled on mine yet, but I can play with them. I need to turn knobs to turn off the water features. Just not sure which ones..there's a lot of knobs there..lol

I think they used brick in my rebar as well. I am not very familiar with different pools, so my question is probably basic, but what are all the pipes coming up from the bottom of the pool for?

Oh my goodness, critters are all over your pool! I am with Karman, maybe cause I'm not hot, but it's too cold for me today. It may be different if I am out while in the middle of the day where I get hot.

So the pool equipment was turned on today. We can get in now, but the water is cold! I don't have pool school until Friday, so I goess that's when I will figure out how to turn the spa on :(

I did a few tests today to see where we are at: ph < 6.8 (way less) cl < .5 ch = 270 I didn't even bother with the rest...lol Here's the pics after the sun came out.
