it was the pump going out, a couple days after I posted here it went completely out. it actually locked up. I was three days left on my two year warranty and Intex had a new pump on my doorstep in less than a week. I was impressed.

I have a Summer Escapes pool with an Intex sand filter it's the 16" 2,650 GPH version. My pump motor is going out I think, because it's making more noise than usual and seems to not be pumping like it used to. Can anyone suggest a replacement pump that would be compatible and maybe of better...

I have been using pucks since I opened my pool to get the CYA level up and plan to stop once they are close to right. I tested today and with a full vile I can still make out the black dot vaguely. So I'm guessing that my level is still less than 30 and can use a few more pucks until the CYA...

I was not sure of the place you were talking about attaching to, but I decided to try to see if I could find a more direct connection. the only place I could think that you meant was inside the skimmer where the old pump protrudes through the bottom. My vacuum hose would not fit over it but...

after a couple of days now, I'm really happy with mine. I'm hooked up to the old filter pump port and although it seem like a bottleneck at that point, I'm still getting really great flow. My pool is clear as can be (better than it ever stayed before). I'm able to vacuum what little is left on...

yes it was already gone from where I had to replace it last season. when I try to vacuum using the skimmer plate. I get very little suction and the pre filter basket does not stay filled.

what kind of luck have you had with using the old pump? I'm trying it and it's not working as well as I think it should. Especially when trying to vacuum.
