Backwashing and water coming up through shower and toilet

My backwashing goes into a pvc tube next to the pool pump equipment. I backwashed my pool (with DE filter) about 3 minutes until clear and then rinsed about 30 seconds or so and then back to filter. My master bathroom is on the other side of the wall from the pool equipment. It is currently...

    Starting pump after replaster

When I move the handles, is it supposed be when the pool is on? Also, when I move the handles, I see air bubbles in the pool and spa return area when the pump is on. Is that indicative of something or normal for a little bit while adjusting? I have the east open the most with the west and spa a...

    Starting pump after replaster

Hello, thank you for responding. So if the East Skimmer is open all the way, is that what I need to add the DE? Would I close the West and the Spa and have the East open up all the way to prime or the opposite? When I am not adding stuff into the skimmer, I would have all 3 of them open halfway...

    Starting pump after replaster

Hi. I have new pool plaster (white) and today the water level is now to the middle of the tile line in the spa and pool. I have rinsed out my DE filters and I am ready to turn on the pump but I need clarification of the right valves and their openings. I cleaned all the skimmer baskets of...

Replaster/remodeling of gunite pool starting today. I have a DE filter. I am doing the brushing and start-up myself.

Hi. It is done, I am waiting for the water to fill the pool. Pool is super deep like 8-9 feet. But slowly but surely, it is coming along. I think it looks great! Tomorrow chemicals and checking for balance. Thank you for asking!

Pool light is out during replastering.

Follow up. I was able to find a gasket at Leslies that matched perfectly. When I opened the light, there was a greenish blob of a mix of algae and maybe silicone? Gross, sticky blob of a mess. I tried to scrape most of it out of the can as best I could. Soaked, wiped down the glass and the ring...

    Skimmer replacement today

Ok, that is good to know. I did reach out to the PB and they said they were coming back to reinforce tomorrow, so I guess they are doing ok here with my backseat driving lol. Thanks!

Pool light is out during replastering.

Thank you. Not sure if I have enough time to find the gasket, but I will get the PB to open it up the fixture and see if I can get a similar gasket (rubber right) locally while they are doing the tile tomorrow hopefully.

Replacing 8650 SwimQuip Skimmer and not sure what Hayward or Pentair or similar model number to order?

Just to follow up, I went with the Pentair Bermuda 506361 Gunite Skimmer which had the 2" ABS Slip Port and they fit perfectly inplace of the old SwimQuip. https://www.inyopools.com/Products/03500404075085.htm

Pool light is out during replastering.

I purchased a 120V 45W LED light off Amazon to replace the old light bulb which is also 120V which looks like a spotlight. But can I change the lid and glass that face out to the pool but use the same cone? It is very discolored now but maybe I can clean both with something before they put it...
