Hello. The pump I have had for years, purchased at an auction years ago and is now just a yard ornament. The right hand pump is used for water features only. The black box is a DEL AOP UV/Ozone sanitizer. There are some naysayers about the value they add to a system, but I am a fan. Thanx for...
Seems pretty simple. If you want natural gas, a two burner, and one of the two grills you mentioned, Blackstone is the only option. There are other grills out there with a natural gas option, and adding a griddle is pretty standard for any of them.
Thanx for the votes and the prize. It has been a fun project as a first-time pool owner. We started with a yard full of grass and ivy and a hefty water bill trying to keep it green when we decided to do a complete yard make over. We have one more small corner of the yard to complete and we are...
"Add some TSP (tri-sodium-phosphate) to the water or some electric dishwasher detergent to the water and soak the grids for at least 3 hours - this will "de-grease" the membranes and is the first step in cleaning them, rinse with hose and get ready for step 3."
Hello Dan. Looks like you can use...
We are using California Pools. We got three quotes and although they were not the least expensive, they made us feel the most comfortable. It is going great so far. Sorry for the late reply.
We are in Southern California as well. Started excavation on 1/21/22, and we had our first inspection today. Shotcrete on 2/22/22. Hoping to be done mid April.
Thanx for the reply. It was explained exactly that way to us this morning. We are unsure of the color, but it will be a Stonescapes mini pebble. I was told this morning that the abalone finish will be hand cast applied. We passed our first inspection this morning. Shotcrete the first of next week.
We are in the Shotcrete stage of our new pool build. Our pool is being done by a pool builder as this is my first pool. I have been reading some older threads that are no longer active about this topic, and it appears that this is not such a great idea. I have asked my PB if the finish can be...
My electrician connected a bare #8 wire from my equipment to the rebar, then put 4 more lugs attached to the rebar (one on each end and one on each side) with about 2 feet of #8 wire attached to each. Not sure what these wires will be attached to, but there is not a bare wire running...
Thanx for the replies. The spa is above and on the side of the pool with a spillway into the pool. The spa is 8' round. The pool is a gradual slope from shallow till about the middle, and then pretty steep to the deep end at what is supposed to be 8'. Without the shotcrete and plaster, it looks...
Hello all. Great site with tons of information. Thank you. We are building a new in ground pool (18' x 38' free form, 3' to 8' w/spa) and I am curious on the best way to figure the amount of water it will take to fill it. I did the math with an online calculator and came up with 27K and put...
