    propane tank size questions

This is what my engineer guy was saying iirc. I’m in phoenix so the lowest ambient temp I’d want to run the heater might be 40* at the lowest. Being buried I assume the earth would be warmer. I’ll revisit with my engineer guy and see what he suggests as a minimum.

    propane tank size questions

According to the guy I just talked to, about 5-6k for 250, 7-8k for 500. Lots of money but I can use it for future remodel with appliances and water heaters. That includes dig, permit and pipe to where I want, regulators and $2.20g for the introductory fill. More than what I want to spend for...

    propane tank size questions

I've seen the things on people's roofs before and from what I understand they do work well. Especially when combined with a cover. I have not considered it though. Something to look into

    propane tank size questions

I did a remodel for a client about 3 years ago that took 2 years to accomplish. They finished the pool less than 2 years ago. The client never moved in. Someone else recently bought the house, I'm going to remodel it again. Pool is being remodeled too and all the equipment is going to be...

    propane tank size questions

Yeah but that's relatively loud Just came up with a solution. Bury the tank in my front yard. One large diameter pipe to side of house, then branch off of that to the heater and other potential future items.

    propane tank size questions

Propane isn't that bad around here tbh. I already use a heat pump to heat but figured that I could use gas to raise it quicker then maintain with the heat pump to get some efficiency. Also, if I remodel my home in a year I'll use the tank to put gas appliances in the house. I'm more annoyed at...

    propane tank size questions

Thanks for the painful truth. I appreciate it. That's not great news. Now I have to add a gate to the equipment side of the house so the truck can monitor the tanks and truck at the same time....ugh. Cost just went up.

    propane tank size questions

Howdy. I live in a neighborhood where there is no natural gas lines. Of course, I can get propane delivered. Problem is where I would want the propane tank installed and the rules of filling a tank and location of this tank...there's a lot of nuance to my problem but long story long the easiest...

    Heat Pump no heating

I used my eyeballs. Capacitor was deformed. Got an exact match from my buddy, all is well. So glad it wasn’t something else or more expensive. Kids are swimming with mom right now.

    Heat Pump no heating

I called my HVAC subcontractor and gave him the symptoms, and he said likely the capacitor. I’m a licensed general contractor and know how to not kill myself most of the time. I turn stuff off. thanks for confirming my buddies suspicions. He’s going to meet me today and give me a capacitor...

    Heat Pump no heating

Good morning. I have a pentair ultra temp heat pump. This thing worked like a champ until recently. It runs but doesn't heat. Everything else looks like normal. What I have noticed is it sounds and appears the compressor is trying to kick on every 30-90 seconds but doesn't. Why do I think...

    SWG problem

Thank you. New app 🤷‍♀️ I had pump on but not pool circuit which is on me. I don’t like the home app. It always failed with my prowler vacuum and I suspect it’s not getting any better. Not stoked about moving but oh well. Thank you for your help

    SWG problem

I did check connections. I disconnected at the bottom of the intellicenter and reconnected. I turned all intella breakers off then on. I still get no lights on the swg. I’ve never experienced the absence of indicating lights. Have you?

    SWG problem

Howdy SWG hasn’t really been working due to low temps but recently it’s warmed up round these parts. Took a glance and the SWG needs maintenance light was on. Turned all breakers off in my intellicenter and cleaned the IC40. All calcium gone. Viola! Hooked everything up and now I have no lights...

    IC 40 woes

OCLT was good. Been adding stablilizer and lowering the swg % daily. Down to 25% and CYA is up to 65. Slowly adding and waiting for it to get to 70-75 Thanks for the help folks

    IC 40 woes

Yes. Thank you for confirming that. My plan is to do the OCLT. If things point to algae I will adjust ph then slam as iirc Ph readings aren’t accurate during slam. Then slam slam slam. At that point make adjustments if need be.

    IC 40 woes

I reread that whole article. My memory was spot on except the very last part. I seriously don’t recall anything about it degrading. I must’ve gotten distracted or something because I’ve read that more than once but still managed to not read the very last part. I have almost had fear of putting...

    IC 40 woes

Howdy I had my IC40 replaced under warranty. Yay! Last year I had the output set to 20% and that kept my FC levels pretty darn good. Occasionally had to add liquid chlorine and acid. Regardless this season with the ‘new’ ic40 things aren’t going well. 20% isn’t keeping up at all. Any...

    IC40 - 12 amp breaker trips

Update: it took two different service companies (first one erroneously accepts the job which caused a delay) and almost 3 weeks but my IC40 was replaced under warranty. Service person said they had only seen this issue a few times and it must be something internally that's shorting--causing the...

    IC40 - 12 amp breaker trips

I’m a general contractor (commercial and residential) I just had my regular subs come by my house and paid them cash. I’m sure I could cook something up if need be.

    IC40 - 12 amp breaker trips

Yes. I had my electrician connect all the wiring (I trenched and pulled the wire) and I had a pool plumber do all the plumbing.

    IC40 - 12 amp breaker trips

It’s maybe a year old. I bought it online because I built my own pool, equipment was hard to get from one vendor etc etc. I’ve read that a ic is covered by 2 years but other posts said the opposite. I’ll give a call to Pentair this week and see what happens. What occurs : if I remove the swg...

    IC40 - 12 amp breaker trips

Title says it all. No lights in IC40, looked on the forums and thought I might have a dud. Then I saw another person had a tripped breaker (forgot about that) which was tripped on mine. I flip the breaker and it immediately trips. Anyone have any suggestions on how to diagnose the cause of...

    UltraTemp Wiring

I will do that then. Thank you. I noticed there's relays and a little plug for an electric heater. Is that necessary or? I don't think the relay can handle 50 amps if I remember correctly.

My pump is connected to the bottom one (where your arrow is pointed) may I use the same screws for that or should I choose a different port?
