Replacing motor on Pentair Whisperflo Dual Speed, is a saltwater o-ring kit necessary?

Well, Inyo let me down this time. It happens but still a bummer.

Replacing motor on Pentair Whisperflo Dual Speed, is a saltwater o-ring kit necessary?

The one you listed is out of stock. In any case, I need it this weekend if possible. What do you think about this? It is not US Seal brand apparently but it says it is a Viton seal which is what the salt/ozone seals are. https://lesliespool.com/u.s.-seal-ps-1000-pump-seal-extra-heavy-duty/40679.html

Replacing motor on Pentair Whisperflo Dual Speed, is a saltwater o-ring kit necessary?

Yes its a Pentair pump. Dang that PS 1905 seal is expensive. $83 on eBay and $104 on Amazon. The standard seal is PS 1000, I would imagine that is what the pump came with and it lasted 9 years. Looks like the ps 3865r is $15-20 so that is doable.

Replacing motor on Pentair Whisperflo Dual Speed, is a saltwater o-ring kit necessary?

So we are having fun today. I've got a 9 year old Whisperflo DS that had gotten noisy and finally quit working, I bought a replacement motor and tune up kit with seal and o-rings from Inyo. Well, as I've got the thing tore down and ready to rebuild I see they sent the wrong tune up kit. I see...

Pool Math app suddenly crashing on iPhone

It gives me sign-in failed, something went wrong. The login works for the website... And apparently if I close out the app, I have to go toggle the reset app cache again to open it back up.

Pool Math app suddenly crashing on iPhone

I've used the Pool Math app for many years on my phone but now all of a sudden it crashes right after opening. I have deleted it and reloaded several times to no avail. Any reason for it suddenly to crash like this?

    Osage Hills Outdoor Kitchen Build

The island with the grill is 12' long, counters are 31" deep (front edge of counter to backsplash). Cabinets are 36" deep, front edge back to wall of house, this includes thickness of rock. My cabinet depth was determined by what I needed to get the double trash can pull out to fit. It is a...

And that is pretty much it! If I had to do it all over again right now the only things I would change would be to not worry about CBB under the counters or on the back of the island that goes against the house. I would also put a couple of upright doors on the ice bin island on...

    Osage Hills Outdoor Kitchen Build

My house has rock wainscot around the outside and my two fireplaces are rock. All was harvested off of my land, appropriately called Osage Sandstone. They cut it into blocks on site and dry stacked it. The company that did it now has a process where they take real rock and saw a 1 1/2" veneer...

Next step was granite counters. Was advised against "fancy" granite with a lot of veining in it. Contractor states that there is a lot of resin in the veining to get the polished look and it will degrade in the sun and become rough and unpolished. I know they have a lot of different finishes, we...

Next step was taping the seams of the CBB where rock was going to be applied. I didn't worry about it where granite was going. I used the proper mesh tape for CBB and a polymer modified thinset mortar per manufacturer recommendations. The corners were the hardest but still a fairly easy process...

Okay, on to the second island. This one is out from under the cover of the back porch and at one end of a pergola. It has an ice bin in it with an access door under. I store my hot tub stuff inside. This is the one built with the symphony bbq method of using mostly channel for construction. At...
