CYA levels with a SWG vs liquid chlorine in winter

Thanks for the info - good to know. We happen to have nummerous gallons of Cloralen Concentrated bleach (SDS attached), which is 7-8% and costs $5.49 and doesn't seem to contain any scents, is not splashless (not sure about the chloromax technology). Lowe's has liquid bleach on sale for $6.98...

CYA levels with a SWG vs liquid chlorine in winter

@HermanTX - new pool owner in Willis, here. Can you please advise what the benefits are of using LC versus bleach, which is much less expensive?

Electrician is here now and is investigating. Have you ever seen this before? Do you think my hypothesis may be right?

Houston, we have (another) problem. I noticed that on the separately piped lighted bubblers that the West bubbler had a fraction of the pressure compared the East side when both valves were fully opened. I realized that there was a longer run to the West side (~15’) and a couple more elbows but...

Unknown. The electricians didn't hook it up for fear that it might void the warranty. I have advised the Pentair warranty company who was out to replace the two intellivalves that the flow switch is specifically mentioned in the heater manual and they are following up w/pentair.

That was actually an older photo - I had them revise the installation of the flow switch. Both the flow switch and the flow meter are installed on the inlet piping to the heater.

Here is the schematic per field installation. After finally utilizing a laser level, the PB took another stab at leveling the weir. Progress was made but there are still 3 tiles that are too high causing an uneven flow over the weir and they will have to be adjusted. Two intellivalves were in a...

Oh yeah, the last time the masons were out to work on the wall, they were sloppy and dropped thin set into the pool and basin and it's adhered to the plaster.

Sure thing. I'm just not sure when. 1/31/23 update: Third attempt on 1/11 at correcting the weir wall on failed. Still uneven flow into the basin. PB's owner made a site visit on 1/17 to see the problem first hand. I was advised that they would correct the issue. Not sure when the next attempt...

Fast forward to 1/11/23. Construction was completed in late November. There are still some minor punch-list items to be completed. However the weir wall is not level causing an uneven flow over the wall. Additionally there are flow issues in some grout lines. There have been two attempts to...

The other end of the line connects to a pvc header that is buried under the walkway. I'm worried that when deck crew installed the cinder blocks for the walkway and steps, they might have damaged the flex/funny pipe causing it to leak. This could then cause a wash-out over time.

I found this tee (also available in 3/4"). Is the location on the outlet side of the heater an issue? I don't know what size paddle is required. I'll have to do more research.

One would think (or at least hope)... The last conversation I had with the PM was he was going to have someone unearth the line. That's going to take some laborious digging and creative sleuthing.

Construction update: 11/22: Unbeknownst to be, the plumbers finally installed flow switch. However, I'm not sure it was done properly. My understanding is it should be installed just before the heater on the inlet piping. The instructions sent to me by Raypak (attached) state it can be on the...

Unfortunately another one reared its head. I found after the decking crew completed the walkway and steps foundation that they had buried an irrigation line ("funny pipe"). Although it was obviously exposed for a reason, like the others I installed and routed out of the trenches, they buried...
