My buffering is fine, I have automatic commercial chlorine and acid feeders that keep my pH and chlorine pegged to my set point.

I don't need CYA so I don't use it.

But isn't the risk to plaster and equipment determined by the CSI? For aggregate pools the low end of the recommended CSI is -0.6.

That’s a good question. Jack’s number two is for Copper and Scale so I guess it’s their protocol to use the agent in case there is a copper issue, which I don’t have. I’ll discontinue using it. I guess I don’t need to use the Fiber stuff for the filter anymore, correct?

There is a risk to draining here. The water table is high and pools pop out of the ground all the time. I have a deadline under the pool so it’s doable but would like to avoid it.

How about diluting the pool?

Now that I know what an OCLT is I have this question. Wouldn't the sulfamic acid using the FC to form chlorosulfamate get in the way of OCLT proving I have organics? A loss of FC could just be the reaction with the sulfamic acid and not organics.
