Does anyone know what it takes to add an overflow?

I have to replace my liner. I was wondering how hard it would be to add an overflow drain during the process. I assume you can do this through the skimmer?

I have a pentair Ic40 with the easy touch system. My cell as died after 4 years and I was thinking about upgrading to the ic60. My pool is 28000 gallons and I was having to run the ic40 at 100% for 8 hrs per day. Will the IC60 just drop right in?

It was mixed in with the other bottles I put about half a gallon or so before I saw it foaming. What will this do to my pool?

There was just a little bit of buildup on the fins not a lot. I bought the kit to clean it this spring and though it wouldn't hurt to clean it. Didn't bubble much at all.
