    Got shotcrete done today. It is hot out here so I am going to have to water like every 2 hours. I will setup some sprinklers with a timer and go water by hand intermittently to bond with it. ;)

    Owner/Builder pool in Phoenix (Phase: Start-up!)

    I am not 100% but I think the pre-wire is the wires they setup to make sure that everything is square and know where to stop with the shotcrete to finish. Not sure if they need that for free form pools and only square pools.

The city has inspected and passed pre-gunite and gas lines/connections. The gas company is coming this week to upgrade my meter. Now I...

    Plumbing and steel is done but I had some questions regarding the finished steel. I feel that the ends extend too far and the shotcrete may not fully cover them when complete. Please take a look at the pictures and tell me if that is normal for the rebar to stick out that close to the boards...

    Excavation is scheduled for Thursday 5/5. I will post some pictures once complete. Shotcrete is so tough in Phoenix area. I know many are having trouble with this stage and/or getting price tag shock when they see the few bids coming in.
