    Filter too small?

Thank you for the replies. If I did want to run it a full power. I assume a larger filter would be a good idea? I will keep it turned down most of the time but I have a slide that I was hoping this pump would power pretty strong.

    Filter too small?

Hello. I recently upgraded my 1 hp Hayward superpump with a variable speed Pentair 342001, 1.5 hp. I have an 18x36 around 25,000 gallon pool. My current filter is a Hayward perflex ec65, which I now see has a flow rating of 67 gpm. Now looking at this pump which has a flow rate over 100, I’m...

    Hayward Heat Pump Not Heating

Hello. I have Hayward HeatPro heat pump, 4-5 years old. I noticed last night that it did not seem to be heating the water. It is running, but the water is no warmer entering the pool. No error codes or anything like that. All seems normal except no warm water. Do I have any hope of...

    Plumbing for slide

I'm pretty sure that the T fitting that you see is related to the salt generator. It has some sort of wire that comes out of it and connects to that system but I don't really know it's purpose. Thanks for the replies. It sounds like I am on the right track with either option.

    Plumbing for slide

I'm looking to replumb the return lines in the photo for a slide. I'm thinking that my best bet would be to attach a three way valve to the closest return in the photo. That way I could shut off that return line when using the slide. Would that be best accomplished by inserting a three way valve...

    Slide Bonding

Would it be even possible to bond a slide after a concrete pour without tearing up the existing concrete?

    Slide Bonding

Thanks for your responses. The slide I was looking at is the wild ride made by Interfab. It appears to have fairly thin metal posts. I assume I would be ok with it?

    Slide Bonding

My inground pool was built 2 years ago, with concrete decking. I'm looking to install a slide now. The concrete was plumbed for the water hookup, but I don't see a way to attach a slide to the bonding grid. How much do I need to worry about this? Do certain slides not require bonding? Maybe...

    Diving Board Jig

Are diving board jigs only able to be used with a specific base? I have an interfab jig mounted in my concrete but have found a good deal on a SRSmith cantilever stand and board. All of the measurements appear to be identical. Is there any risk of mounting this different brand of board on that...

    DIY Vinyl Construction cost question...

Based on my experience I'd take whatever you think it is going to be at first and add 25%. Im paying about $5k for a 4 ft concrete wrap on an 18x36. Everything seems to come in higher than planned so I'd borrow some extra in case you change your mind on things.

    Aqua Rite

Am I making a bad move without the pro logic system? I'm not sure that I want to spend that much more on this right now. I am pretty green when it comes to pool maintenance. This is my first pool and I was hoping to shave off a few bucks as costs keep growing.

    Aqua Rite

Hello, My pool install will be beginning shortly, and I'm planning to add a salt water generator. While my pool company had quoted me $1,400, I found the Aqua Rite 40k gallon model for $875 on ebay. I believe my pool, an 18x36, will be around 25,000 gallons. Am I safe to go with the larger...

    Pool Size Dilemma

Well I have dumped my original pb and got a new estimate that is saving me about $5k on an 18x36. The pump with this pool is a Hayward ec65. Do I need to worry about the number or skimmers or returns? I'm not sure how many are inluded.

    Pool Size Dilemma

Thanks everyone for their input. I'm planning to go 18x36, tough decision on location still etc. Harley, plastic steps are part of this. I have a choco lab so I'm already worried about the liner. Depth is a tough call. I have two girls under the age of two so who knows what they will want...

    Pool Size Dilemma

Thanks for everyone's help. Leebo, I'm in the Robinson Township area, not far from you. I haven't gotten a detailed list of all the specifics on the pool. I guess I trusted the company in this regard as I have idea what is good and what isn't. Is $4,800 abnormally high to add on a heat pump?

    Pool Size Dilemma

Thanks. I am looking at a grecian style pool. Leaning towards 3'-6' depth. I have two very young kids so I want to keep a decent shallow end. I don't know all the details regarding equipment and so forth (I can't even decide on size so I know I'm in for a lot of decision issues). I'm almost...

    Pool Size Dilemma

Hello. I just found this forum and the amount of information is great. I am a prospective pool owner who overthinks every aspect. I was planning on a 16x32 but I just can't picture how big that is in my yard when it's actually a pool and not just markers in the yard.I can upgrade to an 18x36...
