I used to be diligent about backwashing and rinsing the sand filter once a week. Then I read you really only need to do it when the pressure increases above the typical PSI. So after not backwashing for a few months now I’m still not seeing any increase in pressure. Am I missing something and...

Is this a big issue and/or easy to fix? It’s just one small section at one end of the pool. And it’s above the water line which is good so water isn’t leaking back behind there into the ground. So really just want to address it aesthetically and be proactive. Thoughts?

…then should I still continue to run my pump 24/7 like I currently do? It’s a VS so I already keep it low (around 1850 RPMs) all the time to skim the pool and circulate the water. I would think I’d want that to continue even in the winter as we get a ton of falling leaves. Thoughts?
