If your pool lights haven't been touched since 1997 , there is a good chance you have no chance to get the screw out of the fitting. I tried to change my halogen lights out and both light fixtures the screws had to be drilled out. Hope you have better luck.

Hi Have exactly the same pool lights , did the Sunlite 40711-SU 75MR16/FL/12V Halogen MR16 38° Flood Light Bulb 75 Watt, 12 Volt, Bi-Pin Base (GU5.3) work out as expected in 120V ? Just tried to order and can' t ship to California. hmmm, apparently they are banned here.

Thanks Mayorb - I will mention to the home warranty repairman hope he/she will agree. @ James it may have been 2004 but definitely not before so 17 years max. in your experience how old does it look? it could be possible that they installed used pool equipment but I doubt it.
