@JamesW - thanks again for the wisdom. Replaced w/ correct impeller and the case temp of the pump dropped from around 144F (worst case) to 97F. Backpressure measured at the filter remained about the same.

@RDspaguy - loosened all 8 nuts and tightened in a star pattern. Still have a small drip/leak coming out of 1 place. I'm not losing a lot of water, it's just disconcerting to see. I could continue to crank down, but want to get other input first.
