    Intex pump shaft seal

    I've taken all the load off of the shaft and it runs fine. When the impeller is back on with shaft seal and that rubber disk, it really struggles and burns out. Is it possible a bearing is playing up and struggling under pressure? I checked both and they seem fine

    Intex pump shaft seal

    I'll take a photo of it tonight when I strip it back down but it seems to sit on the impeller after the shaft seal. I'm assuming it's some sort of splash guard if the shaft seal fails but at the moment it's causing my pump to fail...

    Hi I have an Intex sf90220-1 pump and I found the shaft seal on Amazon. I can put up a link if you want. So I've completely stripped down the whole pump and found a rubber disk in-between the impeller housing and the motor that seems to be causing alot of friction. Any ideas why?
