Pool tech statements on Combined Chloramines

Thanks for the feedback everyone! New numbers FC is at 6 ppm, pH at 7.4, CYA at 40 and clear water! TA is still high at 150. Any suggestions for some sort of pump aerator I can just insert and take out? The kids just splashing in there doesn't seem to move the needle on TA.

Pool tech statements on Combined Chloramines

Thank you @Rancho Cost-a-Lotta ! Makes sense that I was seeing the oxybrite as CC! Any suggestions on bringing my TA levels lower? From the ABCs it recommends aeration + pH at 7.2.. I haven't been able to aerate it enough. Pool is almost always with auto-cover on (except when we're there over...

Pool tech statements on Combined Chloramines

Hello, Our pool is in a vacation home, so I'm not present to test/correct every day. We have a pool service company that services the pool every 2 weeks, they last serviced on 5/10. Their report is attached. We visited starting 5/12, I did a test for levels using the TFT-100 test kit and...

Pool service tech and me fighting fight cloudy water

Hello, This is a vacation home, so unfortunately I’m not on site daily. Apparently water went cloudy and the tech added MPS and chlorine but also this attached dispenser (apparently to help clean up the pool). I ran a FAS-DPD test and a CYA test from a TF-100 toolkit, got the following numbers...

Pool maintenance company "shocked" my pool - how do I get to SLAM it?

You’re probably right about the gallons referring to chlorine.. I’ve asked him how many lbs of shock, let’s see if he responds. Unfortunately the only pool shop in the area doesn’t have K-2042 and I can’t get it shipped fast enough :-|

Pool maintenance company "shocked" my pool - how do I get to SLAM it?

@DrewLG its unclear.. from the notes it looks like 12 gallons ? But good to know that it dissipates that fast! Is there a test for MPS in the TF-100 kit?

scratch that.. found it :) Perform the Overnight FC Loss Test (OCLT) Yes will test as soon as I get there.. my main concern was the MPS would interfere with FAS-DPD readings of both FC/CC

Relatively new pool owner here. Have the TF-100 test kit. We have a 20K gallon fiberglass pool using chlorine as a sanitizer along with Pentair Intellichem and intellicenter setup. It has an autocover, the pump is running 24/7 at 1800 GPM. Readings taken by tech are as follows: FC:0 CC:0.5...
