Relatively new pool owner here. Have the TF-100 test kit.
We have a 20K gallon fiberglass pool using chlorine as a sanitizer along with Pentair Intellichem and intellicenter setup.
It has an autocover, the pump is running 24/7 at 1800 GPM.
Readings taken by tech are as follows:
FC:0
CC:0.5
CYA:35
Its a vacation home and we skipped visiting last weekend, so its been 2 weeks since anyone swam in it.
Pool is serviced every other week. Today (Wed 9/14) the service tech sent the attached report.
Relevant part is that the auto-feeder ran out of chlorine and because water was a little cloudy, he shocked it.
I will be there by Fri evening, was going to proceed to SLAM it, however I read that Oxy-Brite messes with FAS-DPD tests and registers as CC?
Will that dissipate by the time I'm there?
Unforunately I can't get the compensating re-agent from the Taylor website before I get to the pool on Saturday.
Thank you!
PS: This community is such a lifesaver! Thank you!
