    Vacation maintenance help.

I am going away for two weeks, and looking for advice on pool chemicals for when I am away. I usually just add liquid chlorine daily. I have my pump timer run 4 hours during the day, and 2 hours just after sundown (when I usually add the chlorine). I will be keeping the solar cover on, to keep...

Is my Hayward pump wired wrong?

The timer only controls the pump, not the outlets. Both the sub panel and timer are int he basement. The outlets are on a separate breaker. I have the electrician coming on Thursday to quote me on another project. I will ask him about the GFCI breakers and the grounding of the timer. I...

Is my Hayward pump wired wrong?

The timer is inside. There is no plug on the pump, it is wired directly. The switch on the left controls the pump, so I can turn it off, without going to the basement. the GFCI on the right is what I use to plug the Dolphin robot.

Is my Hayward pump wired wrong?

The panel is right next to the timer, in a short "UL" metal conduit. Then romex going from the sub panel to a switch in an outdpoor quadbox at the pump.

Is my Hayward pump wired wrong?

This is year 2 with our pool. The guy I had open the pool, says the pump isn't going as fast as it could, and maybe it was wired wrong. He seems to think it is on 110V but wired for 220v. He says it should prime right away, and be much louder. My breaker is single-pole All last year, I assumed...

Treating pool in between last swim and closing

How do you handle the chemicals in between the last swim and when you close the pool? I am waiting until the water is below 60, but we are probably done for the year. I don’t want to throw a bunch of money in the pool, but I also don’t want it to turn green.

Best way to install winter cover

Hi, This is my first year with a pool. It is above ground, with pavers installed all around it. What is the best way to secure a winter cover? I didn't buy one yet. But I am not sure I have enough room to winch it around correctly. Any advice?
