    Replacing Bottom Wall Channel...

We have had our AGP since 2008. I have a concern that has been weighing on my mind since I know it has been there for a few years now. The metal support ring (wall channel I think it is called) that the actual wall of the pool sits on, the bottom. I know is severely rusted from years of...

    Pool Stairs...

Does anyone have pool steps that they absolutely love? The stairs we currently have suck! They literally come apart and pieces start floating. I wish I had my original that came with our 27x52, but sadly I gave it away a long time ago.

    Covering AGP....

How do you cover your AGP? I typically have used a tarp like pool cover made especially for AGP. But every year, I have to pump off the cover, and remove the debris that has accumulated over the winter. This year was a disaster! Cover ripped as we were trying to pull it over the side and ALL the...

    Replacement parts- Conquest AGP

Hello all! I am looking for replacement parts for my Aquasphere Conquest ABP... From what I am finding Aquasphere is no longer around? We had it installed in 2008 and the local dealership we purchased from is no longer in business, although they have another location in Columbia, SC. BUT they...

Removing Pool light and sealing off hole...

Hi Neighbor :) and thank you! I will see about having the pool guy just put the light back in and securing it back in. For some reason, the light gets water behind it and doesn't last long. All the electrical stuff is contained in the diving board. housing.

Removing Pool light and sealing off hole...

The IG is at another property we own- I will see about having the light and wire removed or just put back in and a new metal ring put around. Right now it is just sitting under the diving board with its umbilical cord exposed. There is plenty of light for night swimming and I know they make...

Removing Pool light and sealing off hole...

Hi all, We have an 18x36 IG nd over the years we have replaced the light many times only for it to keep blowing out. I think water is getting in somehow. Anyway, we want to remove the light and seal the hole. What is the best and most economical way to do this?

    AGP Pump Recommendation

It's actually been a good pump, very quite and it's only 3-4 yrs old if that. It started leaking a little last year and I thought it was needing an impeller or seal replaced, but it stopped.

    AGP Pump Recommendation

No, we have an adapter that we have to screw into the hole for the return and then place the hose over that. The pump runs/circulates until we put the hose over the adapter to be able to start vacuuming. The hose is full of water, like we always do. As soon as we put the hose over the adapter...

    AGP Pump Recommendation

There’s not a whole lot on the bottom. We did scoop what fell in off the cover. But the vacuum isn’t even starting before you can get to the bottom to begin. You get the hose all full of water and when you go to place it over the skimmer hole, the pump loses the suction. Never had issues with...

    AGP Pump Recommendation

This is the pump we have. It is leaking from the right of the white pipe. It did this last year, but once it got going it stopped. So I returned the one I had intended to replace it with then. So I don't know if it is an actual pump issue or not.

    AGP Pump Recommendation

Well, when I first started it up the pump motor is leaking. Then when we are trying to vacuum the pool (it was literally a frog pond) The cover that I used for the past two seasons is a drain through cover. So it was full of tad poles prior to removing. While removing we noticed that the inside...

    Question about adding CL

YAY The pool is almost ready for swimming! Just one more good vaccum and add some CL and it's ready to go. FINALLY! Only have been running that darn filter 24/7 for a week and a half straight. NO LIE- 24 bottles of 182 oz bleach went in that sucker!

    Question about adding CL

Thanks Dave! I usually leave the CYA level at 30 and put in 2- 182 oz of bleach every 2-3 days and 2 lbs of the aqua chem plus blue every 2 weeks, and I have never had a green pool. That is what I was thinking to keep adding the CL, boy is this going to be expensive! Lesson learned- NEVER leave...

    Question about adding CL

I'm fighting the pea soup battle and it's come a long way since yesterday, I literally vaccumed my butt off till exhaustion. I added 4 lbs of the powder shock and this morning had about .5 left of FC. I have the filter going 24/7. Now I know I need to add more CL to keep it in shock level which...

    Should I drain?

Hi This morning it was... FC is 3 TA 60 pH 7.2 CYA 30 Blake, no normally we cover our pool (it opens clear every year) - only this year we didn't. So it was green. I just checked the chems this evening... FC 2 pH 7.2 TA 60 I'm thinking of trying to bring the pH up a little more with BS- I...

    Should I drain?

I've spent the last 4 days putting in chems and filtering the pool (I've been using Baking Soda, Bleach and Aqua Chem Shock Xtra Blue) Last night I added more BS to get the pH to 7.5 (it's been hovering around 7.2) And I added 1 bag of shock and 2 182oz bottles of bleach. Ran the filter all...

    Cleaning the rails, etc.

Hi all! Well, I made the mistake of not covering the pool for the first time ever- what a mistake- and now of course I have a BIG clean up job ahead of me. The top railings around the pool are covered in black smut/mildew/ pine-tree sap. What is the best way to remove this without damaging the...

    Metal support rusting away

Here is a photo. It's pretty well shot, it's flaking, etc. The skimmer and all the hoses, plus filter are located right above this area. I need to place more sand around it, as it keeps washing away. I need to stop the rust, as I noticed it is also on part of the frame part that is one the ground.

    Metal support rusting away

Hi all! Been a little while since I have been in here. I noticed something just a bit ago when we were checking out the pool and need to know how this can be fixed ASAP. Where the pool wall is joined together and is held together by screws there is a metal strip that the screws go through. From...

    Replace pump, or replace motor?

We have a 27x52 AGP and I use a threaded cap that I got from Home Depot to plug the hole in the skimmer. One thing I noticed about an AGP, it is super hard to get the darn lid off the pump basket if you ever want to clean it out! I also have the pool rover jr pool cleaner. I LOVE it! It runs...

    Recommend me a dishwasher

We just got this one a month ago http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_1260 ... word=13123 and I LOVE,LOVE,LOVE it. It replaced a Whirlpool that was put in around 1995 when our home was still a rental. It is soooooo quiet and it cleans very well. It also has the heated dry option, which I usually...
