I understand that but i would not want to add phosphates willingly if that is what the TSP solution will do. Phosphates are food for algae i rather not have extra food in my pool if it doesn't have any now.

Quick question. If I use the TSP cleaner to soak my cartridges; won't I be introducing phosphates to my pool? I have this one at home...

Forgot to follow up. Raised CYA to 70 and pool now maintains a 6 FC and 0.0 CC; crystal clear. To low of CYA was eating up my FC.

Ok I am thinking 60 to start see how it does then pop it to 70 Thank you guys!

SWCG is perfectly fine its a week old. if i run just the SWG at night my FC goes up. I have even captured return jet water and got readings of 1 to 2 ppm from the jet when SWG is running. Done a overnight chlorine test and have passed multiply times with the SWG off. All lights are green on...

Retested this morning pH 3.0 cc 0.2 maybe 0.0 CYA 50 (did multiple test with my wife and neighbor, lol) TA 130 PH 8.0 (brought down to 7.7) Thoughts? Is my CYA too low. Still losing a bunch of FC through the day

I promise my pool is crystal clear. I just don't understand how to maintain the FC level. Something during the day keeps sucking up all my chlorine. =(

Tested this morning at 0530 5/19/21: FC 6.2 CC 0.0 (maybe 0.2 but it looked clear to me from the start of the test) Pumps and SWG have been off since 2300 5/18/21 From all my test and the weeks leading up this thread I keep losing FC during the daylight hours. My CYA is in the 60-70 range...

What I can I do to retain FC?

Add one more; not sure its a big and it probably causes pH to spike a bit. I have one return that has a I say right angle head on it that allows the return water to disrupt/ripple the surface water quit a bit. Should it be realigned? Can the ripples aeration be the cause of lost FC?

To add one good sign is my CC went down from 0.4 to 0.2.

So..... Not so good news. Re-tested water tonight (2100). Wanted to get in the habit of keeping it above 6 ppm and was going to add LC if below 6 ppm. Readings: FC 0.6 CC 0.2 CYA (retested ) 65-70 on this go around; didn't perform in sunlight but we both looked at it I brought the FC back up...

Great thanks, mknauss. When using the pool math app how do i select liquid chlorine or do you just pick bleach and adjust the bleach chlorine percent part according to either the bleach bottle or the liquid chlorine?

Should i turn off the salt cell? I will use bleach to raise the FC ( just got a good deal at Wally World on it) 7.1% chlorine unscented Great Value brand; its not low splash.
