First Pool. First Quote. Equipment Help!

Thank you PoolBrews for the additional info! I was considering a gas heater, but was more recently wondering if a heat pump would be more appropriate. The pump on the proposal is not variable speed, so i had them quote me for a variable speed pump. I'll ask about the main pool drain and see...

First Pool. First Quote. Equipment Help!

Hey Jim, Question-what would be the point of the mineral if I don’t install the cartridge? I don’t see a Fusion 1400 on the website. Is that only for the chlorinator? I was gonna go with the AquaPure 1400. A couple more questions-should I consider going without the vac line and getting a robot...

Chris! Thanks for the input! Scope of work and payment schedule were on the proposal. Release of liens, etc. I’ll have to look for on the actual contract when I request it. -Mark

First Pool. First Quote. Equipment Help!

Thanks for the quick response! I'm definitely interested in a SWGC, but duly noted re the cartridge filter, and will certainly consider that. I do plan to have a heater, just not from the get go because the house doesn't have natural gas access, so I'll have to arrange for a propane tank...

First Pool. First Quote. Equipment Help!

Hey all, I just got my first quote from a pool builder that has done quite a few, very nice, pools in my area down here in the Fort Lauderdale area. They come highly recommended, and have great reviews. It's a husband and wife team, and I've had great interactions with both. The husband...

    Anbody use a Landscape Architect?

I'm guessing you ended up just going with a pool builder design? I'm beginning to lean this way. I originally thought landscape architect was the way to go, but maybe I was wrong.

    Anbody use a Landscape Architect?

I'm intrigued that everyone else's landscape architects are charging $2,000-$5,000, and the one I contacted is charging $15,000-$25,000. It's clearly time for me to look elsewhere.

Pool Build in Orlando - Looking for input

Out of curiosity-why are you wanting to swap out travertine for pavers? I'm guessing for cost, and I'd be curious to see the price difference. I've heard travertine is the way because pavers can get very hot to walk on.

    Anbody use a Landscape Architect?

Hey all! Thanks for the welcome! Thank you also for the quick responses and great info! So I agree-$15k to $25k does seem quite high for design fee, but I wasn't sure, which is why I posted here. So it sounds like I may need to just go straight to pool builder, perhaps one with a landscape...

    Anbody use a Landscape Architect?

Hey all, I'm ready to take the plunge on a pool build in South Florida. I was hoping to use a landscape architect to design the pool and work on some other areas of my yard. I reached out to one Landscape Architect who seemed to have some stuff on their website that aligned with my vision...
