Difference between online retailer and dealer pump purchase

So, I just spoke the the retailer I mentioned. They are not a dealer and would only be a 60 day warranty after registration and professional install.

Difference between online retailer and dealer pump purchase

I have decided to replace my pump with a Pentair IntelliFlo3 VSF 3.0. There is a reputable online retailer (1600 google reviews, 4.8 average) that will sell me the pump for $1600. I am waiting on additional local dealer quotes but so far have one at $3000, apples to apples, no install...

DIgging deeper, it seems like the shaft is warped. The rotating body connecting to the motor has a warped movement.

    Old pump questions from newbie

Spoke too soon. The pump was making a lot of noise again. I took the backplate and motor off. It seems like the diffuser is rotating for some reason. Looking at a schematic it doesn't seem like there is hardware that keeps it in place? It just sets in there. Does that sound right? Thanks

    Old pump questions from newbie

Hey all, I have a Jandy phpf2.0 pump. I don't know how old it is. I have had the pool for four years. I believe it is on it's last legs. The volute (I believe that's the correct word) is jutting out into the pump basket. It is still running, seems a little noisy, but I can't remove the...

If I shouldn't expect to see water enter, should I add water to the pump basket before starting it?

Hey all, thanks in advance, really appreciate all you do here, you have been a great resource. So, I am trying to open my pool this year without using a pool company. I have followed the opening pool procedure as outlined here. I have filled the pool up to the midpoint of the skimmers but an...

    Slamming my pool

Thank you. I just realized I didn't have the SLAM toggle slid over on the App. I now can put in a value of 26 for FC (before it was saying it was outside the range) and get a recommendation of 7 gallons..

    Slamming my pool

Hey all, New pool owner, about a year. Been doing most everything myself. Got a little behind on upkeep and have the following readings for a 35,000 gallon pool CYA 65, FC 1, CC 1.7. I have bought liquid chlorine and based on the concentration the app is telling me to add 4 gallons. On the...
