Another question I have is the pool has a chlorine generator installed but the old owner wasn't using it. Would it be beneficial to get that working again? Probably need a new cartridge and add salt to the pool. Or should I just use liquid chlorine?

You are right.. that was TA. Anyways the black ⚫ disappeared before reaching the 100 mark or close to it.

It was the cya test in the kit. 7ml pool water, add solution to 14ml then add to sample tube till black dot disappeared.

Sorry.. its a Taylor k-2005 test kit. I am using liquid chlorine 12% and it's a plaster pool
